Position Overview: 

Lead the National Channel (General Trade Off Premiseand Franchise Area (West and Central Javaby providing commercial expertise to deliver the business plan and the integrated programs for the year in partnership with Internal TCCC and the Bottling Partner Stakeholder to achieve volume, revenue and share objectives 

This individual contributor role is key in developing nationwide-integrated General Trade Off Premise channel / customer strategy and programs, also ensuring cross-channel program implementation and performance at the respective area.  

 

Function Related Activities/Key Responsibilities: 

Strategy and Business Performance: 

  • Ensuring delivery of topline growth of Volume, Revenue and Share numbers 

  • Develop and implement Channel, Customer, Commercial Execution Business Plan for assigned channel + geography - aligning bottling partner around key resources commitments 

  • Deep assessment of Channel dynamics, insights, shopper, pack price architecture, trade marketing, competitive and in-store execution for said channel and translate this to channel strategy, business Plan and programs. 

  • Deep assessment of the Area dynamics, competitive insights, brand equity, commercial performance, pack-price architecture, trade marketing, and local consumer insights ; and translate this to area opportunities mapping, priorities, and business plan / programs  

  • Ensure execution of aligned Channel / Customer / Area Plan and Programs – manage opportunities and issues arising with Bottler Leadership Team and all stakeholders. 

  • Ensure adherence to Local Chart of Authority, financial governance standards and management of OPEX locally 

Market Execution and Commercial Excellence: 

  • Identify channel, commercial and market development improvement initiatives to drive incremental volume, profit or share for the Channel and Area. 

  • Drive the (Right Execution Daily) RED agenda with the bottling partnerensuring it is embedded into organizational culture 

  • Actively pursue opportunities to improve our Route to Market and CDE programs in the area and leveraging best practices 

  • Drive horizontal and vertical expansion / Distribution / Coverage 

Franchise Leadership 

  • Build value based and strategic “win-win” relationships with Area Bottler leadership team  

  • Assist fully in the execution of community programs designed to enhance KO reputation within the community 

 
Education Requirements: 

 
Business degree qualification minimum, MBA preferable 

 

Related Work Experience: 
 
At least 8 years’ experience with a FMCG Company with at least 3 years in Channel / Trade Marketing and Operations. Functional experience would be an advantage. Bottler experiences an added advantage. 

 
Related Skills: 

  • FMCG Industry knowledge and clear understanding of the dynamics of the Ready to Drink industry 

  • Strong understanding of Channel and Category Management  

  • Deep knowledge of Route to Market / Distribution and Sales Team Execution Management 

  • Financial Skills and ability to manage Channel P&L 

  • Strong Business Case construction and systemic thinking 

  • Solid strategic analysis and thinking skills able to build a sustainable business 

  • Strong understanding Governance requirements and Code of Business Conduct 

  • People leadership and influencing skills
