The Job
The Director of Fund Management will be responsible for the strategic and operational direction of the Fund Management efforts. The Director will be responsible for the reporting, compliance, and monitoring of the project finance facilities administered by the Company. The Director will provide effective communication to both external investors, internal management and asset owners, and will be involved in various strategic initiatives in the Fund Management department.

What You'll Do

  • Manage the deployment and sale (funding) of assets to finance partnerships with various US financial institutions
  • Track fund asset performance, both in financial terms, i.e. collections, delinquencies, and terminations as well as operational statistics, i.e. system production and customer outcomes relative to performance guarantees
  • Taking the perspective of “asset owner” and “portfolio manager”, partner with Accounting, Account Management and Technical Operations to effectively report and regularly communicate with financial partners and owners on asset and fund financial and operational performance
  • Manage and update tax equity tracking models for purposes of after tax yield performance and flip timing and related execution and mechanics around flips and buyouts
  • Managing and building out a team of Fund Management analysts and professionals.

Who You Are

  • Ideally, candidates will come from the renewable energy or similar asset management based industry. 
  • 7+ years experience in Renewables Finance with knowledge of equity and debt project capital 
  • Experience with  tax structuring, ideally partnership flip and leasing structures 
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills 
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with executive-level decision makers 
  • Strong team player: ease working cross-functionally with Accounting, Sales, Legal and Asset Management groups
  • Analytic Skill: The candidate must be able to spot problems quickly and find creative ways to solve them. Must be hands-on, data-driven and detail-oriented, with excellent technical, analytical, and evaluative skills. 
  • Entrepreneurial Drive: High-energy; quick to enable this dynamic organization to capitalize on trends and opportunities. 
  • Communication: Articulate and able to convey important messages and the unvarnished truth in a clear and compelling manner; an executive-presence combined with a high degree of maturity and business judgment.
  • Management/Leadership: Forge strong, diverse teams of people with multiple perspectives and talents. Engage the team through his/her enthusiasm and excitement about the business.
  • Delegate/give significant responsibilities to team members and hold them accountable; be able to recruit, motivate, develop and retain a team comprised of high-performing people. 
  • Cross Functional Relationships: Develop deep peer group relationships. Coach, educate, innovate, and drive best practices with executives to maximize financial performance.
