Job Description Summary:
Role: Director, Franchise Leadership (R-123250)
Primary Job Location: (USA) Candidates must be currently located in or willing to relocate to the Plano, Texas area.
Additional Location: Dallas-Fort Worth area.
Travel: This role requires up to 50% travel, with an expectation to be in the office 3 days a week.
Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or Management is required; a Master’s degree is preferred to enhance strategic and analytical capabilities.
Preferred Experience: A minimum of 7 years in a Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) organization, demonstrating responsibility for direct sales, key accounts, or franchise management with proven P&L management.
- Performance Analytics & Insights: Champion the management and reporting of performance metrics—revenue, volume, share, and transactions—on a weekly and monthly basis. Leverage data-driven insights to monitor execution against strategic objectives, adjusting plans proactively, and offering actionable feedback to stakeholders.
- Innovation Partnership & Category Growth: Proactively partner with key stakeholders to co-create best-in-class innovation initiatives, driving incremental and profitable growth across product categories. Focus on leveraging insights and collaborative ideation to enhance consumer engagement and expand market presence.
- Strategic Budget & Execution Guidance: Orchestrate discretionary budgets, finely tuned to regional needs, ensuring they are perfectly aligned with strategic goals to enhance local market execution with our franchise bottling partners.
- Dynamic Commercial Strategy Implementation: Command the rollout of our commercial strategies and plans, collaborating in harmony with bottling partners to assure effective execution in local markets while synchronizing with Coca-Cola’s broader business intentions.
- Contingency Plan & Channel Performance Excellence: Engage in contingency planning to hit annual business targets across channels, emphasizing revenue, volume, market share, net outlets, SOVI (Share of Visual Inventory), and pricing strategies.
- Capability Building & Bottler Segmentation Leadership: Formulate and streamline approaches to bolster capabilities, appraise local bottler commercial aptitude against set strategies and objectives, pinpoint gaps, and execute improvement initiatives.
- Training & Development Leadership: Spearhead training and development programs that enhance processes, scorecards, and business routines, fueling progress toward realizing annual business objectives.
- Collaborative Stewardship & Process Planning: Partner with franchise commercial managers to guide bi-monthly planning processes, ensuring thorough customer plan integration while fostering collaborative channel planning routines from Atlanta.
- Subject Matter Authority: Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Large Store, Small Store, and FSOP Channel Plans, working alongside Directors and sales teams at bottlers to elevate plan execution.
- Market Insight & Intelligence Leadership: Relay Bottler performance insights to Franchise Leadership, embodying the voice of the market. Vigilantly track market conditions and convey competitive activity feedback to management, bottlers, and local associates to refine program effectiveness and resolve implementation challenges.
- Commercial Stewardship Coordination: Collaborate cohesively with the Commercial Manager to champion commercial stewardship development, ensuring fluid bi-monthly planning stewardship for the seamless execution of initiatives.
- Planning Communication Across National & Regional Fronts: Assure precise communication of all National Retail, National Foodservice, and regional customer plans within the planning framework to guarantee holistic execution.
- Negotiation & Governance Excellence: Guide negotiations and finalize bottling contracts, National Supply Chain agreements, and governance frameworks, orchestrating governance routines for optimal strategic alignment and operational efficacy.
- Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or Management is required; a Master’s degree is preferred to enhance strategic and analytical capabilities.
- Industry Experience: At least 7 years of experience in a Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) organization with demonstrable responsibility in direct sales, key account, or franchise management, including P&L accountability.
- Business Partnering Expertise: Proven experience collaborating as a business partner with direct bottler or manufacturing exposure in the Food and Beverage industry, demonstrating skill in capacity planning to meet customer needs.
- Strategic Planning & Execution: Significant experience in annual business planning, forecasting, and customer/distributor management, consistently delivering revenue growth and executing successful strategic initiatives.
- Negotiation & Relationship Building: A passion for selling and negotiating within an entrepreneurial environment, backed by sophisticated negotiation skills to influence market outcomes and drive collaborative success.
- Market Insight & Analytical Skills: Extensive understanding of channel marketing, syndicated research, and competitive analysis, using these insights to strengthen strategic sales and market impact.
