The Role
We’re looking for a Director of FP&A to join our Finance team and contribute to our mission of transforming clinical research through data-driven insights.
This is a hybrid role reporting to the VP Finance, based out of our UK hub with occasional travel across our Belgium and UK offices.
What You’ll Bring
- 10+ years of progressive finance experience, including 3–5+ years in a finance leadership role.
- Demonstrable experience owning a full annual budgeting and rolling forecast cycle end-to-end in a multi-entity, multi-currency SaaS or technology business.
- Deep, hands-on fluency in SaaS financial metrics and PE reporting standards, including ARR waterfall, NRR/GRR, CAC/CLTV, and Rule of 40.
- Advanced financial modelling capability, including integrated P&L, cash flow, and headcount models in Excel/Power Query, with experience in modern planning tools such as Pigment or Adaptive.
- Genuine curiosity and fluency in AI, with a practical track record of applying it to accelerate finance workflows and insight generation
Nice to Have
- Direct experience operating within a PE-backed environment, producing investor-grade reporting and analysis.
- Background in life sciences, clinical trials, or regulated technology sectors.
- Experience working through and supporting an exit/sale process.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Own and continuously improve CluePoints’ annual budgeting process and rolling forecast cycle, covering P&L, cash flow, headcount, and SaaS metrics across all entities and Group.
- Act as the primary owner of the integrated financial model, from revenue recognition through to consolidated cash flow, leading scenario modelling and sensitivity analysis to support strategic decisions and PE reporting.
- Lead the monthly performance review cycle, delivering variance analysis, management commentary, and actionable insight to the CFO and leadership team.
- Develop and maintain the Board reporting pack, and own the definition, calculation, and reporting of core SaaS KPIs (ARR, NRR, GRR, CAC, CLTV, Magic Number, Rule of 40) for internal and PE sponsor reporting.
- Champion continuous improvement of planning and reporting infrastructure – including AI-driven workflows – across our NetSuite, Salesforce, Pigment, and Bob systems stack.
- Lead, coach, and develop the FP&A team, setting priorities and ensuring delivery quality across all outputs.
