Job Summary

Responsible for leading financial strategy and execution to support business growth, operational efficiency, and fiscal responsibility.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

  • Leads financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes.

  • Oversees monthly, quarterly, and annual financial planning and analysis.

  • Guides strategic decision-making through data-driven insights and financial modeling.

  • Ensures compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.

  • Partners with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives and drive profitability.

  • Develops and mentors associates within the finance team to build expertise and teamwork.

  • Implements process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and transparency.

  • Collaborates with senior leadership to align financial goals with company strategy.

  • Supports mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic transformations with financial due diligence.

  • Communicates financial performance and risks clearly and consistently to stakeholders.

  • Oversees commission calculations and ensure accurate, timely payments to associates.

  • Partners with HR and compensation teams to model, fund, and execute bonus plans.

Nature and Scope

  • Problems are typically defined by higher level leadership. Problems are difficult. Solutions require analysis and investigation.

  • Decides how to achieve planned results within an organization's plans, policies, and guidelines. May set or change plans/goals within respective department or area.

  • May manage department via multiple layers of managers OR directly supervise a staff of professional individual contributors at the senior or technical advisor level.

Work Environment

  • Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

  • Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

  • Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

Education and Experience

  • Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally 9+ years of experience in a related field, including several years in a management/supervisory capacity.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting manufacturing, fabrication, rental, distribution, or other operations-intensive businesses
  • Proven ability to identify and execute margin improvement opportunities through pricing, sourcing, productivity, and operational efficiency initiatives
  • Experience evaluating and leading make-versus-buy, facility optimization, and capacity utilization analyses
  • Strong understanding of operational performance drivers including labor productivity, plant efficiency, fleet utilization, and asset productivity
  • Experience developing business unit, product line, and location-level profitability reporting and performance metrics
  • Demonstrated success building KPI frameworks and management reporting processes across multiple businesses or operating units
  • Experience developing capital investment business cases, prioritizing investments, and measuring return on invested capital.
  • Ability to lead business transformation initiatives involving systems, reporting, organizational design, or process standardization
  • Advanced analytical and data visualization skills, including Power BI and AI-enabled tools for business insights and decision support.
