Chewy is seeking a dynamic Director of Finance Information Technical Systems, to manage a team dedicated to providing IT support for the Finance department based in Plantation, FL, we are open to considering the role in Bellevue as well. This leadership role will be responsible for the development, integration, and optimization of financial systems and tools, ensuring streamlined financial operations. The candidate will also be responsible for master data management, including the establishment of data transparency and governance across the finance technology structure. The Director will work closely with finance leadership and infrastructure IT teams to drive innovation, efficiency, and automation within financial processes.
What You’ll Do:
- Leadership & Strategy: Lead and manage a team of finance IT professionals, providing strategic direction on system integration and optimization projects and aligning IT initiatives with financial goals.
- Management and Operation:Oversee the daily operations and maintenance of Oracle FCCS, Hyperion, Vertex, Alteryx, and other financial systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Strategic Planning:Develop and implement the strategy and future roadmap for all financial systems, aligning with the company’s overall business objectives.
- AI Systems Development:Lead the design, development, and deployment of nascent finance AI systems to enhance financial processes and decision-making.
- System Integration Oversight: Advise the design, development, and maintenance of integrated financial systems and tools, ensuring flawless data flow between platforms and enhancing overall financial operations – resulting in standardize reporting capabilities.
- Team Management: Provide mentorship, guidance, and support to the finance IT team, fostering a collaborative environment that promotes professional growth and the achievement of project goals.
- Continuous Improvement: Find opportunities for process improvements and system enhancements to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
- Process Optimization: Find opportunities to streamline and automate financial processes, reducing and, where possible, eliminating manual efforts and improving the accuracy and efficiency of reporting.
- Data Integrity & Governance: Build data governance capability to ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial data through data definition harmonization, robust system integration and governance frameworks, minimizing discrepancies and ensuring compliance with internal and external standards.
- Project Management: Oversee system integration projects from inception to completion, ensuring timelines, budgets, and objectives are met while addressing any challenges that arise.
- Innovation & Continuous Improvement: Drive the adoption of new technologies and standard methodologies in financial system integration to keep the organization at the forefront of industry advancements, including the continued expansion of artificial intelligence utilization.
- Security & Compliance: Collaborate with IT security teams to ensure that all financial systems align with security protocols and regulatory requirements, safeguarding sensitive financial data – focusing on access related controls.
What You’ll Need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; Master’s Degree preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in finance systems integration, IT support, or a similar role, with 5+ years in a leadership or managerial capacity.
- Proven experience with financial systems (e.g., Oracle, Oracle EPM, Vertex, Data Warehouse platforms) and ERP integrations.
- Solid understanding of financial operations, accounting principles, and data management.
- Demonstrated ability to lead multi-functional teams and run large-scale, complex projects.
- Expertise in database management, system automation, and API integration.
- Experience in developing and deploying AI systems in a finance context.
Bonus Skills:
- Experience with cloud-based financial systems and digital transformation initiatives.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as SQL, Python, or similar for automation and process optimization.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity standard processes, particularly in the context of financial data management.
Compensation & Benefits:
Our salary range for a Director, Financial Systems position is $180,500.00 - $288,500.00. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate’s relevant experience, education, and work location. In addition, this position is eligible for 401k, an annual bonus potential, new hire and annual equity grant.
