Job DescriptionReporting to the SVP Finance, ECS (Experian Consumer Services), the Director of FP&A is a senior finance leader and trusted partner to the ECS Finance and Leadership Team. You will deliver financial insight and decision support for a growth-focused consumer finance technology business, leading planning, forecasting, and performance management for the consolidated ECS portfolio.
You will translate complex financial and operational data into clear, actionable insights and partner with finance leaders across operating units, and regional and global FP&A teams, to align execution with portfolio and enterprise priorities. You will contribute to financial strategy, assesses risks and opportunities, and helps build the FP&A organization. This is a remote role based in the Pacific Time Zone.
Strategic Partnership & Decision Support
- Be an important financial partner to the ECS CFO, providing insight into consolidated results, operating unit performance, growth, profitability, balance sheet health, and KPIs.
- Align financial projections with priorities by partnering with ECS Leadership and finance lead's across operating units.
- Translate complex financial and operational data into clear, executive-ready analyses and presentations.
- Support strategic and investment decisions through financial modeling, scenario planning, and sensitivity analysis across the ECS portfolio.
Financial Planning, Forecasting & Performance Management
- Lead end-to-end planning and performance cycles, including the Strategic Plan, Operating Plan, forecasts, and executive reviews.
- Drive forecasting, reporting, and business review processes to deliver accurate insights into consolidated and operating unit performance.
- Strengthen financial discipline through risk/opportunity assessment and contingency planning.
- Partner with Corporate, Regional, and Global FP&A teams to maintain consistency and alignment across planning and reporting.
Performance & Growth Insight
- Build and maintain dashboards and KPIs that enhance visibility into ECS portfolio performance, innovation, productivity, and cost management.
- Identify trends, risks, and growth opportunities and translate them into actionable insights for ECS leadership.
- Provide clear, consistent visibility into financial and operational results to support accountability and data‑driven decisions.
Collaboration Across the ECS Finance Organization
- Work with operating‑unit finance leaders to ensure frameworks, shared insights, and alignment between unit execution and portfolio objectives.
- Promote collaboration, communication, and best‑practice sharing across the ECS finance community.
- Support finance leadership in strengthening analytical rigor and financial insight across a diverse, expanding portfolio.
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, coach, and develop an FP&A team, including two direct reports and extended global finance partners.
- Foster an inclusive, collaborative team culture focused on curiosity, growth, and continuous improvement.
- Partner with ECS and North America Finance leadership to support talent development and an engaging employee experience.
Process Improvement & Ways of Working
- Enhance FP&A processes to improve accuracy, efficiency, and insight.
- Advance FP&A capabilities through standardization, continuous improvement, and technology/AI adoption.
- Balance rigor and speed to support decision‑making.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or related field
- 8+ years of progressive FP&A or corporate finance experience, including partnership with senior leaders
- Experience supporting consumer, fintech, digital platform, subscription, marketplace, or data/technology-driven businesses
- Experience connecting detailed financial analysis to clear, decision-ready insights
- Experience leading teams and developing talent
- Experience operating in a global, matrixed organization and supporting multi-operating-unit or portfolio-based models
- Experience influencing senior stakeholders and challenge constructively
- Experience with AI, automation, or advanced planning tools in FP&A
- Experience across FP&A, commercial finance, or strategy finance

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets. The base pay range for this position is listed above. Within this range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors such as job-related skills, experience, and education. You will be also eligible for a variable pay opportunity.
