We are looking for an ambitious and experienced Director, Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) to lead the strategic financial planning and decision-making processes for our Europe, Middle East and North Africa (EMENA) regional business. You will report to the Vice President, Finance (EMENA, Lutosa & Van Geloven), and you will be a critical part of the EMENA Finance Leadership Team. This role is based in our EMENA HQ in Villeneuve D'Ascq, France, where you will frequently be directly liaising with the VP, Finance, Regional President and the EMENA Senior Leadership Team.
The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of financial analytics, forecasting, business strategy, and is not afraid of big data sets (and driving insights from analysis). You'll have many opportunities to make an impact on the business, and your storytelling skills will be a key asset for this.
With the support of FP&A Managers and Analysts (who will report to you) you will lead the Financial Planning & Analysis team to drive financial forecast activities, business performance reporting and providing strong financial leadership for the EMENA business. Moreover, you will be the conduit between Corporate FP&A in Toronto, Canada and the region.
Key responsibilities:
Financial and Strategic Analysis

  • Develop and lead the financial planning and analysis (FP&A) function across the region.
  • Collaborate with the VP Finance and leadership team to shape and implement the company's financial strategy.
  • Provide analytical services to management that will drive key decision making through rigorous analytics by presenting past and projected financial implications.
  • Act as a key advisor to senior executives, providing financial insights, identifying risks, and recommending actions to achieve business objectives.
  • Identify opportunities for business improvement.
  • Provide management with on-going risk assessment against budget objectives.

Budgeting, Forecasting and Reporting

  • Lead and oversee the EMENA annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes and long-term financial plans
  • Analyze financial and operational performance metrics, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
  • Present financial results and forecasts to the executive team, Global head office, board of directors, and other key stakeholders.
  • Provide management with risk assessment of the budget

Performance Analysis and Business Support

  • Identify key performance drivers, trends, and opportunities for improvement within the business
  • Partner with regional and local teams to optimize profitability, pricing strategies, and cost management initiatives.
  • Develop dashboards and KPI reporting systems to track progress and ensure accountability.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, supply chain, and operations teams to align financial strategies with business priorities.
  • Support product innovation and market expansion initiatives with financial modeling and feasibility analyses.

Team Leadership and Development

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing FP&A team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Build strong relationships across the organization to promote financial acumen and alignment.

Ideal Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, with at least 5 years in an FP&A role.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (Master's/MBA preferred).
  • Proven track record in the consumer products industry, with regional or multinational experience.
  • Strong financial modeling, analytical, and strategic planning skills.
  • Expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, matrixed organization with cross-border teams.
  • Advanced proficiency in financial systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Hyperion) and Microsoft products (mainly Excel) plus understanding of PowerBI reporting
  • Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence at all levels
  • Collaborative team leader, capable of driving alignment across diverse functions
  • Highly adaptable and culturally aware, with the ability to navigate complex markets and teams.
  • Results-oriented with a bias to action and a continuous improvement mindset.

What we offer:

  • A challenging but very rewarding role within an effective and international team (flat hierarchies).
  • Attractive salary package: laptop, phone, car, extra legal advantages
  • Global career growth and learning opportunities.
  • Partial working (potentially up to 50%) from home is possible.

Things to remember:

  • This role is based in CE HQ in Villeneuve D'Ascq (North of France), where you will play a key leadership role.
