Position Summary

The Director of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) leads budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for The Greenbrier and its affiliated operating entities. This position is responsible for developing annual operating and capital budgets, preparing management reporting, and providing financial analysis that supports strategic decision-making.

Working closely with executive leadership and department managers, the Director of FP&A transforms financial data into actionable insights that improve operational performance and support the resort's long-term financial success.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Lead the annual operating budget and rolling forecast process for the resort and affiliated entities.

  • Prepare monthly management reporting packages, including departmental financial statements, key performance indicators (KPIs), and variance analyses.

  • Analyze financial performance and provide recommendations to improve revenue, labor productivity, and expense management.

  • Develop financial models to support capital projects, renovations, pricing strategies, and other business initiatives.

  • Assist with cash flow forecasting, liquidity reporting, and financial covenant reporting in partnership with Treasury.

  • Partner with department leaders to develop labor models, productivity standards, and cost-control initiatives.

  • Prepare financial analyses and supporting documentation for executive leadership, ownership, and lender reporting.

  • Maintain reporting structures and chart of accounts mapping to ensure accurate consolidated financial reporting across multiple entities.

  • Lead special projects and ad hoc financial analyses to support organizational objectives.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.

  • Experience in financial planning and analysis, including ownership of an annual budgeting and forecasting cycle.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including financial modeling, pivot tables, Power Query, and analysis of large data sets.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to communicate financial information effectively to operational and executive leaders.

  • Experience working in a multi-entity financial environment.

  • Proven ability to meet recurring reporting deadlines with a high degree of accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Hospitality, resort, private club, or gaming industry experience.

  • Knowledge of the Uniform System of Accounts for the Lodging Industry (USALI).

  • Experience with Sage 100, Opera PMS, Simphony POS, or comparable financial systems.

  • MBA, CPA, or CMA designation.

  • Experience supporting lender reporting, refinancing activities, or financial due diligence.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements
  • Primarily office-based on resort property.

  • Extended periods of computer and keyboard use.

  • Additional hours may be required during budget preparation, month-end close, audits, and peak business periods.

  • Occasional travel throughout the resort to collaborate with operational departments.
