The Role
The Director, Finance is a senior leader within the AM Line Finance organization, responsible for shaping and advancing how we measure, evaluate, and optimize technology investment performance across the AM Technology Portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver accurate, high-quality financial analysis and portfolio insights; serve as a trusted advisor on finance-related matters and influence portfolio and demand management decisions.
Strengthen analytical rigor by establishing portfolio performance frameworks, developing investment theses, and leading end-to-end business case development.
Drive clear attribution of value across technology initiatives through consistent measurement of outcomes, ROI, and resource effectiveness.
Lead strategic planning, portfolio reviews, and full lifecycle business case management, including governance and controls.
Partner closely with Finance VPs, Product, Platform, Engineering, and Data leaders, as well as Centers of Excellence (Tech Finance, Portfolio Costing), to support investment planning, forecasting, and value realization.
Enable outcome-oriented decision-making by translating complex financial and portfolio data into clear, actionable insights for senior leadership.
Build and maintain robust portfolio measurement frameworks to evaluate investment performance, delivery timing, and value realization.
Design scalable, repeatable reporting structures that provide transparency from initiative-level execution through enterprise-wide views.
Evaluate active and completed initiatives to identify value drivers and optimization opportunities.
Mentor and develop a team of analysts, strengthening team capabilities, prioritization, and overall performance.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
10 plus years of progressive finance experience with strong exposure to technology, product, or portfolio finance.
Demonstrated expertise in financial modeling, ROI analysis, business case development, and portfolio analytics.
Strategic mindset with the ability to connect financial insights to business outcomes and technology strategy.
Exceptional communication skills with the ability to simplify complex analysis for senior leadership.
Strong critical‑thinking, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities.
Experience working in dynamic, ambiguous environments with multiple stakeholders.
Experience supporting technology, data, or digital organizations strongly preferred.
Familiarity with tools such as CostIT, TrackIT, NGAV, Power BI, Anaplan
Proficiency in financial tools (Excel, PowerPoint, ThinkCell) and comfort with data visualization and analytics.
Demonstrates curiosity and a strong willingness to learn new tools, methods and skills to improve outcomes
Exhibit initiative and teamwork including being energetic, proactive, and collaborative; contributes as an active team player and leader.

Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
