Description

Hilton DFW Lakes Executive Conference Center is seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Finance to join our Executive Committee. This highly visible leadership role serves as a trusted business partner to the General Manager, executive team, ownership and key stakeholders by providing financial leadership that drives profitability, operational excellence and long-term success.

The Director of Finance oversees all financial operations for the hotel, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, internal controls, payroll, accounts payable and receivable, income audit, cash management and month-end close. This leader ensures financial integrity while providing meaningful insights, coaching and recommendations that help department leaders make informed business decisions.

This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact at one of the Dallas-Fort Worth area’s premier full-service hotels and conference destinations by partnering with operations, ownership and leadership to maximize performance and enhance overall business results.

What You’ll Do

Financial Leadership & Business Partnership

• Lead all hotel finance and accounting operations while ensuring accuracy, compliance and operational excellence.

• Prepare and manage annual budgets, monthly forecasts, long-range financial plans and financial projections.

• Analyze financial performance, identify trends and provide recommendations that improve profitability and operational performance.

• Present financial results, key performance indicators and business insights to the General Manager, Executive Committee, ownership and stakeholders.

• Partner with department leaders to drive revenue growth, labor optimization, cost control and expense management.

• Lead monthly P&L reviews, coaching leaders on financial performance and accountability.

• Provide forward-looking insights based on business trends, market conditions, revenue performance and operational results.

Accounting & Compliance

• Oversee month-end close, financial reporting, journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, accruals and audit processes.

• Ensure accurate oversight of payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, income audit, cash management and tax compliance.

• Maintain strong internal controls and safeguard company assets.

• Coordinate internal, external, brand, ownership and governmental audits.

Ownership & Executive Communication

• Build strong relationships with ownership representatives, management company leadership and key stakeholders through transparency, communication, and financial accountability.

• Translate financial results into actionable strategies that support business objectives and long-term asset performance.

• Provide financial guidance related to capital planning, return-on-investment opportunities and operational improvements.

• Communicate complex financial information clearly and effectively to both financial and operational leaders.

Leadership & Team Development

• Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing finance team focused on accountability and continuous improvement.

• Create a culture where financial responsibility and business ownership are embraced throughout the hotel.

• Partner with operational leaders to improve financial understanding, decision-making, and results.

• Maintain a visible leadership presence and build strong relationships across all hotel departments.

Requirements

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).

• Previous hospitality finance leadership experience required.

• Experience managing hotel budgets, forecasts, financial reporting, month-end close and balance sheet reconciliations.

• Strong understanding of hospitality accounting practices, internal controls and financial analysis.

• Experience with payroll, income audit, accounts payable, accounts receivable and tax compliance.

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency with financial reporting tools and hotel systems.

• Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving abilities.

• Exceptional communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence ownership, executive leadership and operational teams.

• Proven ability to develop teams and partner effectively in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

• Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays and additional hours as business demands require.

Skills Required
