IT Applications Director – Finance, HR, and Corporate Systems
SUMMARY:
The IT Applications Director for Finance, HR, and Corporate Systems will lead the strategic planning, implementation, and management of enterprise applications supporting finance, human resources, and other corporate functions. This role ensures that technology solutions align with business objectives, improve operational efficiency, and support compliance and reporting requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and execute the IT applications strategy for Finance, HR, and corporate systems in alignment with overall business goals.
- Collaborate with executive leadership and business stakeholders to identify technology needs and prioritize initiatives.
- Drive digital transformation initiatives to modernize and optimize enterprise applications.
Application Management
- Oversee the deployment, maintenance, and support of core enterprise systems Finance, HRIS, Incentive Management, and other corporate applications.
- Ensure system integrations across Finance, HR, and other corporate platforms are seamless and secure.
- Manage internal software development initiatives and vendor relationships.
Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of application managers, product owners, and engineering resources.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and customer service excellence within the applications team.
Governance and Compliance
- Ensure applications comply with regulatory requirements, internal controls, and audit standards.
- Establish and enforce IT policies, procedures, and best practices for application management.
Budget and Vendor Management
- Develop and manage budgets related to Finance, HR, and corporate systems applications.
- Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with software vendors and service providers.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting
- Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for application availability, performance, and user satisfaction.
- Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on project status, risks, and opportunities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in IT application management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience managing enterprise Finance and HR systems such as SAP, Oracle, Workday, PeopleSoft, or similar platforms.
- Strong understanding of business processes in Finance, HR, and corporate functions.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with cloud-based applications and SaaS solutions preferred.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements affecting Finance and HR systems (e.g., SOX, GDPR).
