What Financial Planning & Analysis contributes to Cardinal Health
The Director, Finance – FP&A (Global Technology & Business Services) manages a team that drives the long-term planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes for the company’s GTBS (Global Technology & Business Services) organization. This Director will serve as the key finance business partner to the Chief Information Officer and collaborate directly with Cardinal Health’s IT executive leadership team to develop financial strategies and drive analytics to enable business decision making. In addition, this Director will develop detailed reports and analysis on the performance of the IT corporate function. This individual will provide leadership in the development of IT financial strategy, produce logical scenario analyses/insights, and make sound recommendations to support key functional decisions.
Location - Targeting individuals local to Central Ohio or willing to relocate, able to work in a hybrid structure (3 days a week at our Global HQ in Dublin, Ohio with 2 days work from home in a remote setting)
Responsibilities
- Manage and lead a team - providing leadership and development to ensure continued talent management
- Lead the budgeting, forecasting and reporting processes for P&L and capital
- Provide senior leaders with forecast insights, performance metrics and financial analytics for improved organizational decision making
- Clearly communicates a cohesive and concise story around performance drivers and potential implications on future financial forecasts and monthly/quarterly business results to allow Executive level review of key factors that provide insight into functional performance
- Analyze trends and provides tactical recommendations in the budget planning process
- Work effectively across a matrixed organization, including Segment and Corporate FP&A, Accounting, and other various COEs
- Partners with IT business leaders in the development of financial strategy
- Conduct complex analysis, synthesize and summarize implications to function using analytics and business understanding
- Serve as an objective financial steward with an enterprise perspective, safeguarding our company's assets
Qualifications
- Ideally targeting individuals with 10+ years of relevant finance or FP&A experience, preferred
- Experience working in a FP&A business partner capacity for functional segment leaders (ideally connected to IT or R&D business units), strongly preferred
- Experience working within a highly matrixed environment (or public company), strongly preferred
- Management experience, ideally overseeing teams operating in a remote environment, a plus
- Strong attention to detail, finance and business acumen, communications skills and executive presence
- Demonstrated experience serving as a trusted partner to management
- Strategic thought leadership, communication, and credibility to influence
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Anticipated Salary Range $135,400 - $208,100 USD
