Drives the development of analytics practices through actionable strategies to supply strategic Business Intelligence (BI). Provides oversight of Sutter Health technology platforms related to report-writing and distribution, data visualization, data science, and advanced statistical analysis. Also identifies and implements new, emerging analytics tools. Oversees the effective production of standardized operational reports, ensuring efficient and professional execution to supply timely clinical and operational analysis. Lastly, collaborates with Sutter Health and its regional affiliates to plan, align, budget, design, and implement a company-wide strategic intelligence function in support of Sutter Health's mission, goals, strategies, and objectives.Job Description:
EDUCATION:
Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.
- Bachelor's: Applied Statistics, Computer Analytics, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related field
TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:
- 12 years recent relevant experience.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
- Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with clients, IS team members, management, and executive personnel/staff.
- Advanced knowledge of healthcare decision-making process with the ability to help leaders select among the different type of analytic capabilities available.
- Solid knowledge of change management concepts and strategies.
- Working knowledge of developing and administering executive reporting systems.
- Verbal and writing skills to effectively communicate with diverse groups such as: executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
- Set priorities which accurately reflect the relative importance of job responsibilities and prioritize assignments to complete work in a timely manner.
- Analyze information, problems, situations, practices, or procedures in order to identify relevant concerns and factors.
- Perform a variety of duties and often change from one task to another of a different nature with frequent interruptions and/or distractions.
- Skilled in developing documentation at a technical and user level.

Pay Range is $177,777.60 to $284,460.80 / annual salary. Bay Area Pay Range is $202,030.00 to $323,232.00 / annual salary.The compensation range may vary based on the geographic location where the position is filled. Total compensation considers multiple factors, including, but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure, certifications, departmental equity, training, and organizational needs. Base pay is only one component of Sutter Health’s comprehensive total rewards program. Eligible positions also include a comprehensive benefits package.
