What You’ll Do

  • Lead Financial Operations: Direct accounting, payroll, business systems, monthly close, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash management.

  • Partner with Operations: Work closely with Project Managers, Estimators, and Executive Leadership to improve job costing, WIP reporting, project profitability, and operational decision making.

  • Build Better Systems: Lead ERP improvements, reporting enhancements, financial controls, and process improvements that support continued company growth.

  • Develop Great People: Recruit, coach, mentor, and develop a high-performing Accounting and Business Systems team while creating a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

  • Drive Financial Excellence: Oversee audits, strengthen internal controls, improve financial reporting, and ensure compliance across multiple business entities.

  • Support Strategic Growth: Provide financial insight and analysis that helps leadership make informed business decisions while positioning the company for long-term success.

What We’re Looking For

  • 7–10 years of progressive accounting and finance leadership experience.

  • Strong Controller-level accounting experience with responsibility for financial reporting, budgeting, cash management, and internal controls.

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.

  • Experience leading accounting teams and developing future leaders.

  • Experience with financial reporting, audits, ERP systems, and process improvement.

  • Strong understanding of Work-in-Progress (WIP) reporting, job costing, and project-based accounting.

  • Construction or heavy civil industry experience is strongly preferred.

  • Experience in both public accounting and private industry is preferred.

  • Experience managing accounting and financial reporting across multiple legal entities is highly desirable.

  • CPA, CMA, or MBA is a plus.
