Overview
The Director, Finance Business Partner, Global Open Finance is responsible for finance business partnership, planning, forecasting, and business decision analysis for Mastercard's Global Open Finance and Developer Experience business globally.
The position requires strong thought leadership, financial acumen, and strategic insight to support business decision making, investment prioritization, and growth initiatives.
The role serves as a trusted advisor to Open Finance leadership, helping drive business performance and long-term value creation.
The position reports to the VP, Finance Business Partner, Open Finance & CTO.
Role
Serve as the lead finance business partner for the Global Open Finance business.
Work with business leadership to develop and implement strategies that support business growth, innovation, and profitability.
Responsible for developing operating budgets, forecasts, KPIs, and other business performance metrics.
Develop materials to support ongoing business reviews:
Monthly Performance Packages
Business Unit Reviews
KPI and Scorecard Updates
Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs)
Develop, track, and analyze key business performance metrics on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
Develop ad hoc financial models and analyses to support business strategies, growth opportunities, and investment decisions.
Work with product and business leaders to prepare business cases for product initiatives, strategic investments, and growth opportunities.
Support the development of strategic plans, annual budgets, forecasts, and QBR/QOR Reviews.
Collaborate with Accounting, FP&A, and Reporting teams on financial forecasts and maintain an ongoing assessment of business risks and opportunities.
Partner with Technology and Engineering Finance teams to review and manage product, technology, and engineering investments that support the Open Finance portfolio.
Provide financial insights and recommendations to support resource allocation, performance management, and investment prioritization across the business.
Develop executive-level analyses and presentations to support leadership decision making and business reviews.
Serve as a member of two regulated Boards of Directors and support the annual audit processes for the UK and EU.
Provide leadership to a team of finance managers, with responsibility for supporting career development and succession planning.

Strong communication, negotiation, and influencing skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with senior management and executive leadership.
Proven track record of building strong internal and external business partnerships.
Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
Proven track record of accomplishments; payments, financial services, fintech, or technology industry experience is a plus.
Demonstrated thought leadership with the ability to translate raw data into meaningful insights and present complex information in a concise, professional manner for senior management review.
Comfortable operating in an environment with ambiguity while making thoughtful, data-driven decisions.
Advanced financial modeling, analytical, and problem-solving skills, both quantitative and qualitative.
Strong business acumen with experience supporting planning, forecasting, investment evaluation, and performance management.
Excellent project management, follow-up, and organizational skills.
Ability to work on several projects simultaneously and effectively manage competing priorities.
Strong collaboration skills with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and drive alignment across the organization

In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role. The base salary offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Mastercard benefits for full time (and certain part time) employees generally include: insurance (including medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, disability, life insurance); flexible spending account and health savings account; paid leaves (including 16 weeks of new parent leave and up to 20 days of bereavement leave); 80 hours of Paid Sick and Safe Time, 25 days of vacation time and 5 personal days, pro-rated based on date of hire; 10 annual paid U.S. observed holidays; 401k with a best-in-class company match; deferred compensation for eligible roles; fitness reimbursement or on-site fitness facilities; eligibility for tuition reimbursement; and many more. Mastercard benefits for interns generally include: 56 hours of Paid Sick and Safe Time; jury duty leave; and on-site fitness facilities in some locations.

Purchase, New York: $163,000 - $269,000 USD
