Summary:
In this role, you will lead strategic sourcing, contracting, and value delivery initiatives across finance and accounting categories to help clients achieve measurable financial and operational improvements. You will develop category strategies, oversee supplier relationships, and support consulting engagements focused on accounts payable, treasury, and payment processes. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and clients to identify opportunities, implement solutions, and enhance finance and accounting offerings.
Responsibilities:
Develop and execute category strategies across finance and accounting spend areas to drive savings, operational improvements, and value.
Lead end-to-end sourcing initiatives, including requests for proposals, supplier evaluations, negotiations, and selection.
Oversee contracting activities, including negotiations, risk and compliance alignment, and supplier performance management.
Support client consulting engagements focused on accounts payable, treasury, payment processes, and related finance operations.
Identify and implement process improvements and cost reduction opportunities using financial and operational insights.
Analyze financial, operational, supplier, and market data to inform recommendations and sourcing strategies.
Manage supplier relationships and monitor performance against contractual commitments and client needs.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and enhance finance and accounting solutions and offerings.
Partner with clients to support solution adoption, communicate recommendations, and demonstrate measurable value.
Influence key business decisions through strategic thinking, financial acumen, and effective presentations.
Qualifications:
Relevant degree preferred.
7 or more years of relevant experience required.
Experience with strategic sourcing, procurement, category management, contracting, or supplier management.
Experience with accounts payable processes and/or healthcare treasury functions.
Demonstrated ability to lead sourcing events and negotiate contracts.
Strong financial acumen with analytical and data-driven decision-making skills.
Experience supporting operational improvement or cost reduction initiatives, preferably in healthcare.
Knowledge of finance technologies, such as accounts payable automation, payment platforms, or treasury management systems, preferred.
Knowledge of healthcare regulatory and compliance considerations preferred.
Strong client-facing communication, presentation, collaboration, and influencing skills.
Estimated Hiring Range:
At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $117,600.00 to $206,000.00.This position is also incentive eligible.
