A career with EROAD offers the unique opportunity to work in a fast-growing organisation that is at the forefront of in-vehicle technology, enhancing road safety, productivity, and reducing environmental impact. EROAD's mission is to deliver intelligence you can trust, for a better world tomorrow.

What We're looking for:

The Director of Field Operations is accountable for the end-to-end design, planning, and execution of EROAD’s field delivery model, ensuring the company consistently delivers on its customer promise at scale. This role owns the operating system for hardware installation and field execution, including internal field teams and third-party installers, with clear accountability for safety, quality, timeliness, and consistency. The Director is responsible for building scalable capability, setting and enforcing standards, uplifting best practice, and ensuring field operations are predictable, compliant, and aligned to commercial and customer outcomes.

About the Role:

Field Operations Design and Execution

  • Own the end-to-end field operating model for SaaS, hardware installation and on-site delivery, ensuring work is planned, resourced, and executed to a consistently high standard. Translate customer commitments and commercial demand into practical field plans, capacity models, and execution schedules that deliver predictable outcomes at scale. Establish clear operating rhythms, standards, and controls that enable disciplined execution across regions and delivery partners.

Workforce Capability and Third-Party Contractors

  • Build, govern, and continuously uplift the capability of internal field teams and third-party installers to meet EROAD’s quality, safety, and performance expectations. Define onboarding, training, accreditation, and performance management standards that ensure consistent execution regardless of who performs the work. Proactively address capability gaps, capacity constraints, and performance issues to protect customer outcomes and brand integrity.

Quality, Performance and Continuous improvement

  • Own field performance outcomes including installation quality, timeliness, rework, cost efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Establish clear metrics, reporting, and feedback loops to identify issues early and drive corrective action. Lead continuous improvement initiatives that simplify processes, uplift best practice, reduce variability, and ensure field operations evolve in line with product, customer, and scale requirements.

Health and Safety

  • Hold ultimate accountability for the safety of all people engaged in field operations, including employees and third-party installers. Design and enforce field safety frameworks, accreditation requirements, and safe systems of work, ensuring compliance with regulatory obligations and EROAD safety standards. Actively lead a culture where safety is non-negotiable, incidents are investigated rigorously, and learnings are embedded to continuously reduce risk and harm

Skills and Experience:

  • Proven ability to design and run large-scale field operations, including hardware installation and on-site execution in complex, distributed environments.

  • Strong working knowledge of health and safety systems, contractor safety management, and regulatory obligations relevant to field-based work.

  • Demonstrated experience in capacity planning, scheduling, and demand management to support predictable delivery at scale.

  • Commercial and operational skill in managing third-party installers, including contract management, performance frameworks, and cost control.

  • Ability to define, document, and enforce operational standards, playbooks, and safe systems of work.

  • Strong analytical capability, with experience using operational data, dashboards, and KPIs to drive decision-making and continuous improvement.

  • Clear, confident communicator able to influence senior stakeholders and lead through operational complexity and change.
