Job description:

Director of Field Operations

Responsible for end-to-end Field Operations ownership (Installation, Service, Network Maintenance & Headend) for their respective Region. Accountable for the cable plant's integrity and maintaining the quality and consistency of the Video, HSD, and Phone service to Breezeline customers. The Director of Field Operations will lead Breezeline in regional-level system operations, focusing on but not limited to best practices, HFC/FTTH network, new product launches, project planning, capital budgeting, and technical plan development planning all residential and business operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct and coordinate the Field Operations for Breezeline at a regional level

  • Maintain network availability, performance, and quality, minimizing downtime and increasing customer satisfaction.

  • Ensure compliance with network regulations and SLAs

  • Maximize the efficiency of customer installs, service, and maintenance 

  • Keep customers connected through 24/7/365 operations 

  • Work with VP and peers to plan all technical aspects of the cable operations; implement new technologies and assure the system can support these technologies. 

  • Provide data and over-site for annual capital budget across all regions; manage yearly budget to meet or exceed annual cash flow. 

  • Monitor and review materials management procedures, inventory control, and security, including, but not limited to, plant infrastructure, headend electronics, installation and CPE, vehicles, buildings, and facilities.

  • Oversee FCC regulation testing; assure that requirements are met. Manage all FCC technical Filings.

  • Manage installation, system maintenance, and headend projects as needed.


Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Technical operations with cable carrier with a minimum of 7 years of progressive leadership experience

  • In-depth knowledge of field operations management, processes, and best practices

  • Technical problem-solving skills and ability to communicate with diverse stakeholder groups 

  • Functional fluency in network and fulfillment operations

  • Network, technical, and commercial acumen for cross-functional collaboration

  • Strong leadership skills with proven ability to provide very effective, results-oriented direction

  • Strong written and oral communication skills:  ability to communicate with employees, customers, and suppliers, in person, on the phone, and by written communication in a clear, straightforward, and professional manner

  • Extensive knowledge of MS Office products such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

  • Working knowledge of Google platforms such as Google document sharing and Google Sheets

  • Ability to work remotely through video conference platforms such as Google Meets

  • 20%-50% of travel between Breezeline systems
