Director, Field & Experiential Marketing

Location: Remote (US-based) | Reports to: Head of Marketing

Overview

Needing healthcare can be hard — getting care shouldn’t be.

We built Luma Health because we are all patients. We believe it should be easy to see and connect with our doctor. To get the care we need, when we need it.So, we’ve created solutions to fix this problem. Our technology makes messaging easier, scheduling appointments more efficient, and it modernizes care delivery from beginning to end.

At Luma, events aren’t just booths and swag bags, they’re the stage where our story comes to life. We’re looking for a Director of Field & Experiential Marketing to own the strategy and execution of all in-person and virtual events that drive pipeline, strengthen customer relationships, and elevate our brand.

This role will blend creativity with operational discipline, creating memorable experiences for target accounts, prospects, and customers while ensuring every event is tightly aligned to revenue goals. From trade shows to executive dinners, from customer summits to surprise-and-delight activations, you’ll bring both the big ideas and the checklists that keep them on track, while coordinating actions and communication plans across the organization.

You’ll report to the Head of Marketing, partner closely with Sales and Customer Success, and have shared marketing resources to support demand, creative, and content.

What YOU will do at Luma Health

Field & event strategy
  • Own Luma’s annual event calendar across external conferences, trade shows, and Luma-hosted events.
  • Develop event strategies that align with business objectives (sourcing pipeline, influencing opportunities, expanding within our customer base, and building advocacy).
  • Partner with Sales & CS leadership to define measurable goals for each event
End-to-end event management
  • Lead planning and execution for all field and brand events, including:
    • Sponsored presence at major industry conferences
    • Customer summits and executive forums
    • Regional field events, roadshows, and VIP dinners
    • Partner activations
  • Oversee all logistics: venue sourcing, contracts, budgets, swag, shipments, booth setup, technology, travel, and onsite execution.
  • Expand and maintain prep processes: briefing docs, prep calls, Slack channels, itineraries, coverage schedules, and post-event debriefs.
Cross-functional collaboration
  • Work with Sales to coordinate customer/prospect outreach pre-event and ensure strong onsite engagement.
  • Partner with Customer Success to engage active customers and bring customer voices into events, while strengthening advocacy.
  • Partner with Brand & Communications to execute robust communication plans.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver branded assets, collateral, and storytelling on site.
Measurement & ROI
  • Own event ROI reporting, including pipeline sourced/influenced, cost per S3 opportunity, and attribution dashboards.
  • Track and share post-event outcomes: leads, meetings, follow-up progress, and lessons learned.
  • Continuously improve playbooks and processes to maximize efficiency and impact.
What success looks like
  • Pipeline impact: Events consistently generate measurable S3 opportunities and influenced pipeline.
  • Strong execution: Booths, summits, and activations run seamlessly, with staff aligned and prepared. Events run seamlessly if staff are aligned and prepared, and you have contingency plans to keep hiccups at bay.
  • Creative differentiation: Events stand out in a crowded market with memorable experiences that prospects and customers talk about.
  • Cross-functional trust: Sales and CS see you as the go-to partner for building field momentum and customer loyalty.
Who YOU Are:
  • Humble: You’re not hampered by an excessive ego or concern for status. While you do have a healthy level of ambition, you also strongly prioritize the team's success over your own personal gain, are eager to share credit, and focus on the collective good and business impact.
  • Hungry: You have a strong drive, ambition, and a desire to work hard, take on responsibility, and go the extra mile for the team's success and to see your own objectives cross the finish line. You do not always need someone to hold your hand and tell you what to do. If you do not know what to do, you’ll figure out what you need to get there. Most importantly, you take action.
  • Smart: You have an emotional intelligence and awareness of others' feelings and perspectives. You understand group dynamics, ask good questions, listen effectively, and consider how words and actions impact others. This skill allows you to navigate many different stakeholders and their personalities towards success.
  • Cool-headed: You’re able to plan ahead, not just for the ideal scenario, but variations to the plan–your signage doesn’t show up, the printed materials don’t look right, the hotel changed the table size, etc.
  • Clear communicator: You go above and beyond with communication and really emphasize equipping both onsite team and support team before/after the event
  • Ability to travel roughly up to 50% of the time (US/International) and ability to support on-site staff when not traveling
What you bring
  • 5–7 years of B2B marketing experience, with strong event/field marketing ownership.
  • Track record of running events that deliver measurable pipeline and ROI.
  • Expertise in both logistics/project management and creative experience design.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills across Sales, CS, and Marketing.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce, project management tools, and budget tracking.
