Smithbucklin, a 100-percent employee-owned professional services company serving associations, nonprofits and industry organizations, is seeking an experienced Director, Marketing to join our Corporate Marketing team. This leader will shape and execute integrated marketing strategies for both Smithbucklin and 360 Live Media that grow brand visibility, generate qualified leads, strengthen prospect engagement, and support business development through measurable, data-informed marketing programs.
The Director, Marketing will partner closely with the Chief Marketing Officer and senior stakeholders to connect brand, content, digital, paid media, email, events and marketing operations into a high-performing growth engine. The Director, Marketing will lead a small team that includes content marketing, digital and campaign specialists, ensuring that content, digital and paid programs work together to drive awareness and qualified demand across Smithbucklin and 360 Live Media. This role requires a strategic thinker and hands-on builder who can move easily between long-range planning and day-to-day execution, while leading a team that delivers results with speed, quality and accountability. Note: This is a corporate role for enterprise wide marketing.
What You Will Do
- Lead an integrated growth marketing strategy for Smithbucklin and 360 Live Media that builds brand awareness, drives qualified lead generation, and contributes to pipeline growth and business development outcomes.
- Plan and execute multi-channel campaigns across email, social media, paid digital, webinars, events, landing pages to engage prospects throughout the funnel.
- Build and optimize demand generation and lead nurture programs that move target audiences from awareness to consideration to conversion.
- Partner with business development and executive stakeholders to align marketing initiatives with company priorities, target audiences, revenue opportunities and strategic growth goals.
- Oversee the development of compelling campaign content, including emails, landing pages, ad copy, social content, presentations, case studies, whitepapers and thought leadership assets.
- Manage paid media programs with a strong focus on performance, lead quality, audience targeting and return on investment, including LinkedIn and other emerging channels.
- Use customer insights, campaign analytics and market feedback to evaluate performance, uncover opportunities and continuously improve marketing effectiveness.
- Establish and track key performance indicators such as engagement, conversion rates, MQLs, pipeline contribution and campaign ROI, and report results to senior leadership.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure marketing strategies, messaging, creative execution are aligned across channels and mapped to business growth priorities.
- Identify and improve systems, tools, and workflows that support scalable marketing execution, operational efficiency, and stronger decision-making.
- Monitor industry trends, competitive activity and changing customer needs to identify opportunities for innovation, differentiation and growth.
- Provide strategic leadership to the marketing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, experimentation, service excellence and high performance.

Qualifications
- Degree or equivalent work experience in marketing or related field.
- 12+ years of progressive marketing experience, with meaningful experience in growth marketing, demand generation, campaign strategy and B2B professional services marketing leadership.
- Proven success developing and executing integrated marketing programs that drive awareness, lead generation and revenue.
- Experience with marketing automation, CRM and campaign tools such as HubSpot, Salesforce, LinkedIn Campaign Manager and other analytics platforms.
- Strong background in content strategy, digital marketing, email marketing, paid media, campaign measurement and funnel optimization.
- Supervisory experience required, with the ability to coach, motivate and develop high-performing teams.
- Experience in professional services, associations, or other complex B2B environments preferred.

Smithbucklin is a hybrid work environment with in-office days established as Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Employees will work a standard 40-hour week, with the possibility of additional hours based on project deadlines.
Smithbucklin considers several factors when determining compensation, including a candidate's recent coursework, training, experience, and certifications, among other considerations. The expected pay for this role is $160,000-$180,000 base, plus variable compensation tied to company performance.
