Tepper Executive Education is seeking a Director, Executive Education Programs to provide strategic and operational leadership for a portfolio of executive education programs, including assigned custom corporate client programs and open enrollment offerings. Reporting to the Assistant Dean of Executive Education, the Director has responsibility for portfolio leadership, revenue growth, client relationship strategy, faculty engagement, business development, and team management.

Executive Education is a dynamic, fast-paced environment and the Director role is responsible for leading assigned programs from opportunity development through design, delivery, evaluation, and renewal. This professional role is ideal for a strategic, relationship-driven, and highly organized critical thinker who thrives at the intersection of business, leadership development, higher education, and client service.

The Director serves as a primary relationship manager and program impact storyteller for assigned corporate clients, faculty and strategic partners, internal stakeholders, and program participants. The role requires strong business acumen, consultative client management, collaborative team engagement, executive-level communication, the ability to translate organizational learning needs into high-impact educational programs and may require domestic and international travel in support of program delivery.

In addition to managing a portfolio of programs, the Director will supervise at least one direct report and contribute to the continued growth, quality, and strategic positioning of executive education offerings.

Core responsibilties include:

Portfolio Leadership and Program Strategy

  • Provide strategic oversight for assigned executive education programs from concept through completion.

  • Manage a portfolio of custom and open enrollment programs with accountability for quality, client satisfaction, financial performance, and operational success.

  • Identify opportunities to strengthen, expand, or reposition programs based on client feedback, market trends, participant evaluations, and input from faculty and Assistant Dean.

  • Establish program goals, timelines, deliverables, success measures, and renewal strategies.

  • Ensure programs reflect current leadership, business, management, and organizational learning needs.

Business Development and Revenue Growth

  • Identify, cultivate, and pursue new business opportunities with corporate, nonprofit, government, and institutional partners.

  • Support proposal development, pricing strategy, scope definition, and program design for prospective clients.

  • Partner with leadership and faculty to develop compelling solutions for client learning needs.

  • Contribute to sales strategy, pipeline development, lead follow-up, and client renewal efforts.

  • Analyze client needs and recommend executive education solutions that align with organizational goals.

Client Relationship Management

  • Manage executive-level client relationships with professionalism, responsiveness, and strategic insight.

  • Lead client discovery conversations to understand business challenges, leadership development needs, audience profiles, and desired outcomes.

  • Translate client needs into actionable program goals and learning experiences.

  • Facilitate regular client communication before, during, and after program delivery.

  • Manage expectations, resolve issues, and ensure a high-quality client experience.

  • Conduct post-program reviews and identify opportunities for renewal, expansion, or continued partnership.

  • Represent the organization as a senior client-facing leader rather than solely as a program manager.

Faculty and Learning Team Relationship Management

  • Identify and engage faculty and learning team whose expertise aligns with client needs and program objectives.

  • Collaborate on program design, learning outcomes, session sequencing, participant experience, and customization.

  • Serve as the primary liaison between faculty and clients to ensure shared understanding of expectations and deliverables.

  • Support faculty preparation for custom audiences, corporate contexts, and executive-level learners.

  • Strengthen faculty engagement in executive education and help develop repeatable, scalable program models.

Program Marketing, Operations, Delivery, and Continuous Improvement

  • Oversee program implementation, including timelines, communications, marketing, materials, logistics, technology, participant experience, and evaluation.

  • Coordinate with internal learning team(s) to ensure seamless program delivery.

  • Monitor budgets, expenses, contracts, and program financial performance as appropriate.

  • Use participant feedback, client input, faculty and Assistant Dean reflections, and performance data to improve future programs.

  • Ensure consistency, quality, and operational excellence across the assigned portfolio.

  • Anticipate and resolve issues that may affect program quality, client satisfaction, or delivery outcomes.

Special Projects

Participate in special projects/initiatives and perform other duties as assigned to ensure successful learning outcomes and program impact.
