🚀Director Executive Credit 🚀
Konfío is seeking an exceptional and results-driven leader to take on the role of Director Executive Credit for our SME lending portfolio. This is a critical senior leadership position, demanding an expert who can strategically lead, design, and execute the entire credit lifecycle—from origination through to recovery. Your mission will be to drive portfolio profitability (NPV) and operational efficiency by leveraging advanced analytics, Machine Learning, and a culture of radical innovation and simplification, all while ensuring regulatory compliance. You will be instrumental in cementing Konfío's position as the strategic partner democratizing access to financing for the growth of Mexican SMEs.
Key Objectives & Accountabilities
- End-to-End Strategy Leadership: Own and lead the entire credit cycle strategy, assuming full responsibility and accountability for portfolio profitability (NPV) and recovery rates, and defining the vision for continuous optimization within Konfío.
- Advanced Risk Modeling: Design, develop, and implement cutting-edge risk models and Artificial Intelligence algorithms for SME credit assessment, ensuring minimal default risk and strict regulatory compliance.
- Data-Driven Optimization: Proactively integrate and optimize external data sources and advanced analytics to enrich credit decision-making, drive growth, enhance efficiency, and radically simplify complex processes.
- Operational Excellence: Drive operational excellence in credit management and collections through continuous, automated monitoring, identifying deviations, and leading the implementation of innovative solutions to boost NPV and recovery.
- Team Leadership & Culture: Foster a high-performance culture and talent development within the credit team, acting as a mentor and raising the knowledge and execution level of future leaders.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate transversely with key areas such as Product, Technology, and Operations, and represent Konfío before regulators and business partners to align strategies and optimize business results.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education
- Mandatory Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Applied Mathematics, Engineering (Industrial, Systems, etc.), Actuarial Science, or related quantitative fields.
- Highly valued: A Master's or postgraduate degree in areas such as Quantitative Finance, Data Science, Machine Learning, Business Analytics, or Business Administration (MBA).
Specialization
- Quantitative Finance, Data Science, Machine Learning, Business Analytics, or Business Administration (MBA).
Experience
- Years of Experience: 8-15 years of proven and progressive experience in senior leadership or directorial positions in credit risk management, financial modeling, portfolio analysis, or equivalent roles within the Fintech, Banking, or Financial Institutions sector.
- Preferred Requirement: Direct and successful experience with the SME segment in Mexico is a preferred and highly valued requirement.
- Demonstrable Ability: Proven capacity to lead high-performing teams, take full ownership of profitability and recovery outcomes, and drive innovation using advanced analytics.
Language
- Advanced English is mandatory (Excluyente).
- Advanced Spanish is mandatory (Excluyente), given the operational and regulatory context in Mexico
