Position Title: Director, Executive Compensation & Global Mobility

Purpose
The Director, Executive Compensation & Global Mobility is a senior leader within the Performance & Reward function and is responsible for the design, development, and implementation of executive compensation, long-term incentive (LTI) plans, and global mobility strategies.
The role ensures that policies, processes, and solutions meet KONE’s current and future business needs, support effective corporate governance, and contribute to engaging and motivating senior leaders while strengthening KONE as a great place to work.
Key Responsibilities
Define and lead the global strategy for Executive Compensation, Long-Term Incentive plans, and Global Mobility in alignment with KONE’s business and Performance & Reward strategy.
Design, develop, and manage Executive Compensation frameworks and processes, including:
Base salary structures and governance
Short-term and long-term incentive programs
Executive benefits and retirement provisions
Establish and oversee governance and reporting frameworks for Executive Compensation and LTI programs, ensuring transparency, compliance, and alignment with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and corporate governance standards.
Oversee the alignment, consistency, and compliance of executive employment contracts with relevant regulations, legislation, and employment standards.
Lead the design, implementation, and communication of KONE’s Long-Term Incentive (LTI) plans and Global Mobility policies and processes.
Partner with the CEO, EVP HR, and KONE Legal team on corporate governance matters related to executive compensation and LTI plans.
Provide expert guidance, coaching, and support to top business leaders and HR Directors on executive reward topics, including compensation packages and employment contracts, ensuring consistency across KONE.
Analyze external market trends and internal data to ensure Executive Compensation, LTI, and Global Mobility approaches remain competitive and aligned with business requirements.
Enable effective decision-making by providing insights and recommendations based on benchmarking, analytics, and business context.
Manage relationships with consultants and suppliers supporting executive compensation, LTI, and global mobility activities.
Lead, participate in, and contribute to global Performance & Reward projects.
Act as a member of the KONE Performance and Reward Management Team, contributing to the future direction of performance and reward and reviewing effectiveness and opportunities in the current environment.
What We’re Looking For
M.Sc. or Bachelor’s degree.
At least 10 years of HR experience, preferably within a multinational company.
Strong experience in reward or compensation roles, including executive remuneration.
Proven expertise in Long-Term Incentive (LTI) plan design and implementation.
Experience and knowledge of global mobility programs and practices.
Experience working with global external service providers.
Proven track record of successful roles in a multi-cultural business environment.
Excellent influencing and communication skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Hands-on project management and change management experience.
Fluency in English.
