Job Summary:

The Director of Events leads Trimont’s global events strategy and execution, overseeing the event portfolio, budgets, vendor partnerships, and attendee experience. This role partners closely with senior leaders and key stakeholders to deliver high-impact events that strengthen client relationships, enhance brand visibility, and support business growth. The ideal candidate combines strategic planning, operational excellence, strong project management skills, and the ability to influence across teams to successfully lead a global events program.


 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Own the global events strategy and calendar: including conferences, sponsorships, client events, executive forums, and internal programs.
  • Oversee end-to-end event planning and delivery, including budgeting, logistics, vendor management, attendee experience, and post-event analysis.
  • Manage Trimont’s presence at industry events, including sponsorship activation, speaking engagements, and executive participation.
  • Partner with business development, client services, and marketing teams to align events with business objectives and measure outcomes.
  • Oversee event budgets, forecasting, reporting, and vendor contract negotiations.
  • Lead internal events, including Town Halls, leadership sessions, employee engagement programs, and company offsites.
  • Coordinate executive speaking opportunities and provide support for presentations, logistics, and event preparation.
  • Partner with People & Culture to support employee engagement, culture initiatives, and global employee events.
  • Develop scalable event processes, tools, and playbooks to drive consistency, measurement, and operational excellence.
  • Monitor industry trends and best practices to continuously enhance event effectiveness, attendee experience, and stakeholder impact.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • 8-10 years of progressive event management experience, preferably in a B2B environment.
  • Experience managing $500K+ budgets and multi-region event programs.
  • Proven success executing conferences, sponsorships, and executive client events.
  • Strong vendor management and contract negotiation skills.
  • Excellent project management and stakeholder management capabilities, with experience managing multiple high-visibility events simultaneously.
  • Strong communication skills with experience supporting and influencing senior leaders and executives.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and strategic mindset with strong judgment and operational discipline.
  • Proficiency with event platforms such as Cvent or Bizzabo, as well as Canva and Microsoft 365.
  • Experience with Salesforce and marketing automation platforms.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% and work flexible hours as needed.
