Are you a digital strategist who’s passionate about how the attendee journey flows from digital to onsite experiences powered by state-of-the-art technology?
Okta is looking for a Director of Event Digital Strategy and Technology to transform the intersection between event technology and digital innovation.
At this role your success will be measured by the ability to create a vision and deliver on end-to-end digital and onsite attendee experience through all technology touch points, while while exceeding expectations of the program stakeholders:
In order to generate the impact this position requires, we expect you to:
- Drive the strategic vision and deployment of end-to-end attendee experiences both digital and through technologies that support their onsite journey
- Utilize data and data insights to identify areas of opportunity. Develop a data driven optimization roadmap in partnership with the Digital Analytics team
- Be responsible for managing, deploying, and continually improving the event tech and digital solutions used for our portfolio of strategic events and webinars
- Drive overall requirements to properly configure the technology to meet the experience requirements for registration paths, housing, meeting tools, mobile app technologies, digital broadcasts, and webinars in partnership with internal teams
- Partner with onsite event tech team to ensure delivery of onsite event tech is enabled to perform
- Partner with webinar program team to deliver innovative digital experiences that support their KPIs
- Articulate, track and execute all quality assessment motions
- Monitor risks and triaging issues pre-event and onsite with a sharp eye for prioritization
- Partner with agency and vendor partners to ensure technology is set up and ready for use
- Ensure security, privacy & legal reviews
- Travel up to 25% of time (US and globally when needed)
Basic Qualifications:
- 10+ years of demonstrated success in a similar role
- Experience deploying and managing event tech and services like RainFocus, EventBase, CVENT, IBM, Vidyard, On24, Goldcast, etc
- Deep understanding and experience with ERC, SRC, content catalog, housing tools, mobile app, live and on-demand event technologies
- Experience leading live online events independently produced as well as live broadcasts of large in-person events
- Experience running digital strategy for webinar programs at scale
- Experience creating digital strategy opportunity assessments and digital strategy plans incorporating customer feedback and engagement tactics to drive website engagement, conversions, leads, and marketing pipeline.
- Strong ability to work cross-functionally across internal teams and lead vendors independently
- Establish effective processes, meetings and milestones and regularly communicate deadlines and interdependencies
- Aversion to status quo and demonstrated continuous curiosity
Below is the annual base salary range for candidates located in California, Colorado, New York and Washington. Your actual base salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. In addition, Okta offers equity (where applicable), bonus, and benefits, including health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), flexible spending account, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave) in accordance with our applicable plans and policies.
