Job Description:At Regions, the Finance Senior Equity Investments Portfolio Manager is responsible for the deployment of capital and the management of the Bank and Holding Company’s equity investment strategies including Small Business Investment Portfolio (SBIC) Funds, Strategic Investment Funds and Direct Equity Investments. Aligns equity investment strategy with Regions’ Strategic Plan.
Primary Responsibilities
- Manages $325mm+ equity investment portfolios including Small Business Investment Company (“SBIC”) Funds, Fintech Venture Funds, Direct Fintech Equity Investments, and other fund investments; includes 70+ investments
- Develops and executes equity investment strategies in line with Strategic Plan and equity investment frameworks
- Holds the Regions’ Limited Partner Advisory Board seat for fund investments and participates in fund Limited Partner Advisory Committee matters as required
- Participates in internal executive level committees and Boards (i.e. Regions Community Development Corporation, Regions Foundation, etc.) to advise on equity and investment strategies
- Partners with internal stakeholders to ensure equity and investment strategies meet CRA and business level strategies
- Provides regular updates to the Asset/Liability Committee and other working groups as needed
- Participates in industry trade groups (SBIA) and liaises with bank peers
- Oversees all aspects of the investment process from sourcing to closing including prospecting, pipeline management, due diligence document review, preparation of investment memos, management calls/meetings, investment approvals and legal structuring/execution
- Oversees model process for portfolio management of investments as well as tools for valuations, financial forecasts and stress testing
- Stays current on public and private equity markets and macro and micro factors that may impact future valuations
- Manages all audit, credit, compliance, legal, regulatory, and accounting aspects of the investment portfolio
- Oversees management of financials and investment metrics on all investments and portfolio companies on a monthly and quarterly basis
This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
This position is incentive eligible.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
- Nine (9) years of experience in portfolio management, corporate treasury, corporate finance or capital markets related activities
- Charted Financial Analyst (CFA) Charter holder or Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) Charter holder

This position is intended to be onsite, now or in the near future. Associates will have regular work hours, including full days in the office three or more days a week. The manager will set the work schedule for this position, including in-office expectations. Regions will not provide relocation assistance for this position, and relocation would be at your expense.
