Director Enterprise Information Management (f/m/d)

About the role
This role is ideally based in our Munich (Aschheim) or Gothenburg (Mölndal) offices but could be located at any key Essity site. Reporting to the VP of IT Strategy and Business Technology, you will be part of both the IT Strategy and Business Technology leadership team and the Essity IT Management Group, enabling you to influence strategy and outcomes broadly.
You will lead a team of 4 direct reports and an extended team of 17, with opportunities to expand and build a high-performing function. This is a unique chance to blend existing talent with new recruits to create a dynamic team.

What You Will Do

Develop and implement an enterprise information management strategy to enhance data governance and utilization.

Lead and manage information management projects, ensuring timely and successful delivery while overseeing the design, development, implementation, and support of systems and applications.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate information management practices into business processes and provide executive-level guidance.

Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement while leading and developing the team and organization to build a strong collaborative culture.

Ensure the security and integrity of Essity's data, maintaining compliance with relevant legislation and Essity’s Code of Conduct.

Build long-term relationships across the enterprise and with external partners and actively engage in governance forums to make decisions in the best interests of Essity.
Who You Are
We are looking for someone passionate about and capable of bringing together business and information to unlock the value they can bring across the entire value stream of Essity.
The diversity of tasks and stakeholders requires a high degree of business acumen across the full value chain coupled with strong information management and technology skills. The successful candidate will demonstrate independence, leadership, curiosity, and the ability to manage in an ambiguous and complex environment.
Ideally, you will have a combination of business and information management experience that demonstrates your ability to govern and improve processes while optimizing business outcomes, especially in connection to advanced analytics and AI. You will have extensive experience in looking at business problems, translating them to information requirements, anticipating future needs, and then communicating back in business language how the solutions will deliver the expected outcomes.
Collaboration is a critical success factor for this new function. You will show your strength at building strong networks in a matrix organization that spans IT, Master Data CoE, and business functions.
