Overview:
Capital Health is seeking a visionary and collaborative leader to join our IT leadership team as the Director of Data, AI & Product Development. In this high-impact role, you will lead enterprise-wide data, artificial intelligence, and in-house product development initiatives to transform patient care, streamline operations, and position Capital Health as a future-ready, data-driven health system.
This is a rare opportunity to shape the next phase of our digital transformation journey. Over the past three years, Capital Health has made significant investments in modernizing its infrastructure, strengthening cybersecurity, launching cloud-first initiatives, and building internal technology capabilities. Now, we are creating a new leadership role to unify data, analytics, AI, and product development under one strategic umbrella.
What You Will Do:
• Build and lead a multidisciplinary team including data engineers, BI developers, report writers, and application developers
• Define and execute the enterprise data and analytics strategy, including cloud data architecture, ETL modernization, and analytics platform development
• Guide responsible AI strategy and governance, ensuring ethical, secure, and compliant implementation of machine learning and automation solutions
• Partner with clinical, operational, and business leaders to prioritize use cases, deliver business intelligence, and co-develop actionable insights
• Lead internal product development efforts for solutions such as Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM), Hospital at Home, FHIR-based APIs, and workflow automation tools
• Coach and develop a high-performing, collaborative team committed to innovation, continuous learning, and healthcare impact
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or related field (Master’s preferred)
• 7–10 years of progressive experience in data analytics, software development, or AI leadership
• Experience implementing modern data platforms (e.g., Azure Data Lake, Snowflake, Databricks) and cloud-native architectures
• Knowledge of healthcare data and interoperability standards such as HL7, FHIR, and HIPAA compliance
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and deliver impactful products in a complex, regulated environment
Preferred Qualifications:
• Healthcare experience highly preferred
• Experience with data governance and responsible AI frameworks
• Familiarity with project management and agile development methodologies
