Director of Enterprise Data & Analytics

We are seeking a Director of Enterprise Data & Analytics to establish the enterprise vision, operating model, architecture, governance, and capabilities that will help transform data into measurable business value. 

This is an opportunity for an accomplished data and analytics leader to shape enterprise strategy while remaining closely connected to execution. The Director will lead and develop the enterprise data and analytics team, establish trusted data products and analytical capabilities, and partner with business and technology leaders to improve data quality, accessibility, governance, decision-making, and adoption.  

The successful candidate will be an enterprise-minded leader who can see the big picture, translate strategy into action, and build alignment across organizational boundaries. This role is well suited to someone who takes initiative, works effectively across multiple priorities, embraces change and innovation, makes timely decisions, and inspires others to commit to ambitious outcomes.  

What you will lead 

• Own the enterprise data and analytics strategy, operating model, data and information architecture, and multiyear roadmap. 
• Establish data products and analytical capabilities with clear business ownership, stewardship, technical accountability, service expectations, and measures of success. 
• Serve as a trusted data and analytics advisor to senior business and technology leaders. 
• Lead the delivery and operation of secure, scalable, reliable, cost-effective, and supportable enterprise data and analytics platforms. 
• Establish and lead the enterprise data governance operating model, including governance forums, stewardship responsibilities, decision rights, issue escalation, and policy oversight. 
• Set practical standards and controls for data sourcing, quality, metadata, master data, privacy, security, retention, licensing, traceability, and cost. 
• Directly manage, coach, and develop the enterprise data and analytics team, establishing clear priorities, performance expectations, development plans, and delivery commitments. 
• Expand self-service analytics, data literacy, and adoption by connecting new capabilities to meaningful business outcomes. 
• Provide the trusted data, governance, architecture, platform, security, quality, and analytical foundation needed to support advanced analytics and prioritized AI use cases. 
• Partner with Enterprise Solutions & Architecture to align data, information, application, integration, security, and technology architecture. 
• Manage enterprise data investments, resources, vendors, performance measures, risks, and executive reporting.

You will keep clients, business partners, colleagues, and the broader organization at the center of data decisions. You will establish clear service expectations, remove systemic barriers, and balance responsiveness with sustainable enterprise solutions.  

People Leadership 

You will set clear expectations, develop talent, encourage open dialogue, provide direct and constructive feedback, and create an environment where team members are supported, challenged, and accountable.  

What will help you succeed 

• Strong business acumen and the ability to translate enterprise priorities into practical data and analytics strategies. 
• Demonstrated leadership of multidisciplinary teams, enterprise programs, and complex organizational change. 
• Advanced data literacy and broad practical expertise across data strategy, governance, architecture, integration, warehousing, business intelligence, metadata, master data, data quality, modeling, visualization, privacy, security, and regulatory compliance. 
• Familiarity with modern data operating models, data products, data marketplaces, self-service analytics, and AI-enabled decision support. 
• Experience leading in a modern cloud data and analytics environment, with exposure to technologies such as Snowflake, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, Databricks, Atlan, Matillion, SQL-based platforms, or comparable tools. 
• Strong executive communication, facilitation, judgment, and relationship-building skills. 
• The confidence to take initiative, make decisions, address ambiguity, and maintain momentum across multiple priorities. 
• The ability to gain commitment through influence, positive communication, and a clear connection between the work and its business value.  

Education and experience 

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data science, information science, business, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. 
• Ten or more years of progressively responsible experience in data and analytics, information management, technology, business management, or a related discipline. 
• Five or more years of progressive leadership experience leading teams, cross-functional programs, and enterprise initiatives. 
• Demonstrated success developing and executing enterprise data, analytics, information architecture, or governance strategies that produce measurable business outcomes. 
• Proven capability to align complex business processes, information assets, operating models, and performance measures across functions. 
• A track record of influencing executive investment decisions through compelling business cases, strategic roadmaps, and long-range planning. 
• Experience building or maturing data governance, stewardship, data operating models, or enterprise data organizations. 
• Familiarity with fleet management, transportation, asset-intensive operations, auto finance, lending, leasing, securitization, or another regulated and data-intensive industry is preferred.
