Tech leadership roles Portfolio (NCR)

This role is with one of our portfolio companies.(Series A funded) and, we will also evaluate for roles in other portfolio companies

As the Director of Engineering, you will be responsible for defining and executing the engineering roadmap, ensuring scalable and efficient technology solutions, and fostering a high-performance culture. You will collaborate closely with the executive leadership team, product managers, and other key stakeholders to align engineering efforts with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• The Director of Engineering will be leading, building, and operating exciting products with a passionate team.
• We are looking for someone who has developed and deployed software with a strong focus on end-user experience. and someone with proven experience and proven track record of shipping web-scalable products.
• The ideal candidate will have a track record of building and delivering cloud solutions with delightful consumer experiences, combined with ease of implementation/reliability.
• Experience with massively scalable distributed compute product architectures.
• Experience with micro services-oriented architectures, Experience with scaling Big Data infrastructure.
• Experience delivering platform technology and creating an ecosystem of applications and services across multiple verticals and solution offerings
• Experience successfully scaling technology infrastructure to support rapid customer /data growth.
• Experience with fast-paced, rapidly-iterating, design-forward, product-focused companies.
• "Roll-up-your-sleeves" entrepreneurial, start-up attitude, team player with a record of leading and mentoring employees

Qualifications:

 ·  8-12 years of experience in software engineering, with at least, 3+ years leading a small team of 15-20 members engineering team.

·       8-12 years of experience in building large-scale web applications; 6+ years of experience as an individual contributor     

·       Past experience in AdTech/MarTech, social media , or eCommerce domain is preferred

·       Experience scaling engineering teams in a high-growth startup, ideally from Series A to later stages.

·       Strong technical background in modern software development, cloud infrastructure, and system architecture.

·       Proven track record of delivering scalable and reliable technology solutions in a fast-paced environment.

·       Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with a data-driven decision-making approach.

·       Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

·       Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
