Role SummaryWe are looking for a hands-on, high ownership Engineering Leader (Senior Engineering Manager / Director) who will not only lead teams but also drive / enforce engineering execution excellence, engineering velocity, quality standards and a strong engineering culture at MediaMelon.
This leader will bring structure, process rigor, deployment + release maturity and enable teams to scale fast with high quality.
What You Will DriveDrive and enforce engineering execution excellence – engineering velocity, high-quality releases and deployment best practices
Drive architecture evolution and technical decision making to enable scale, reliability and performance
Mentor, coach and enable multiple teams to be high-performing engineering orgs (engineering managers/tech leads / ICs)
Collaborate very closely with Product + Revenue functions to align product outcomes, customer value and delivery
Build, strengthen and mature engineering culture, engineering processes, CICD, release mgmt, documentation, quality discipline
7-15 years of experience leading engineering (we are open to Sr EMs + Directors)
Managed at least ~20-25 engineers directly or indirectly (EMs + ICs) in fast scaling environments
Experience influencing + driving engineering processes, engineering culture and product velocity improvements (not only delivery mgmt)
Experience in any backend / platform domain (Python / Java / Go / Cloud Native), etc
Experience building data analytics products is a big plus (Video streaming domain experience is also a strong plus, but not mandatory)
Has worked across multiple engineering functions (dev, QA, release mgmt, docs) – not just a single silo
Hands-on mindset (even if not coding daily)
Strong data-driven decision making vs gut feel / vague
Work on deep video data analytics at a global streaming scale

We aim to complete the entire process within 1–2 weeks if both sides are aligned.
Skills Required
- 7-15 years of experience leading engineering organizations
- Managed approximately 20-25 engineers directly or indirectly, including engineering managers and individual contributors
- Experience driving engineering processes, culture, and product velocity improvements
- Experience in a backend or platform domain using technologies such as Python, Java, Go, or cloud-native systems
- Experience across development, QA, release management, and documentation functions
- Hands-on engineering leadership mindset
- Strong data-driven decision-making skills
- Experience building data analytics products
- Video streaming domain experience
