Director of Engineering, Revenue

Engineering at Vinted is divided into Infrastructure and Product. This position is for Product Engineering, where teams develop new features from start to finish and roll them out to all our members or internal users. The teams are led by engineering managers who will report to you. 

We’re looking for the Director of Engineering who would contribute to the Vinted vision of making second-hand the first choice by leading the Revenue domain. Revenue domain focuses on acting as a one-stop shop for all pricing and revenue decisions at Vinted marketplace.

As Director of Engineering, you’ll play a key role in shaping the Revenue domain, which drives a critical part of Vinted success. The domain consists of two major streams:

• Pricing & Value Added Services: You’ll lead the teams that build and evolve the capabilities powering our core services. This includes Escrow Services, Value Services, and Benefits (such as discounts, vouchers, and subsidies). The focus is on enabling experimentation with service and pricing propositions, improving members' experience, and scaling our technical capabilities to match Vinted’s ambitious growth goals

• Ads Business: You’ll lead the teams building and growing our advertising ecosystem. Our long-term vision is to build our own Ads engine - including components such as real-time bidding, ad serving, targeting and others. This is a rare opportunity to shape a greenfield initiative at scale, laying the groundwork for a new strategic revenue stream for Vinted
  

By guiding these streams, you’ll ensure we deliver reliable, scalable, and innovative solutions that directly impact Vinted’s marketplace, member experience, and long-term business sustainability.

• Lead and support your team of 3-4 Engineering Managers and a Staff Engineer. Focus on their professional and personal development to ensure high team performance
• Define and communicate a clear technical vision aligned with business goals. Partner with product, design, data and business leaders to shape long-term roadmaps and ensure engineering priorities support company growth
• Establish high standards for architecture, quality, security, and scalability. Encourage innovation, best practices, and continuous improvement across teams.
• Build resilient, innovative teams that balance technical excellence with a strong sense of purpose. Encourage autonomy, accountability, and continuous learning while cultivating a culture that celebrates both achievement and growth.
• Own the end-to-end delivery lifecycle, from planning to release, ensure engineering teams deliver with focus and accountability, turning strategy into tangible results while adapting to changing priorities and market needs.

The salary range for this position is € 7,758- € 10,492 gross per month.
