About the Role:
Gartner is looking for well-rounded and motivated Leaders to join the Gartner Innovation Tools team. The Innovation Tools team is responsible for developing innovative growth products for end-users. The team is responsible for R&D into new areas and come up with rapid solutions that can be taken to the market.
What you’ll do:

Be a leader for high performing Engineering teams who build software products.

Collaborate with a cross-functional team of application developers, product operations, architects to understand complex product requirements and translate them into automated solutions.

Establish best practices for automating the creation of scalable/resilient systems.
-
Build and implement operational standards for end user facing products.
-
Participate in problem solving discussions to ensure systems are designed for right problems.
-
Create successful deployment, security, and availability strategies for Product in the cloud.
-
Collaborate with colleagues to support and improve systems, processes, standards and tools.

Collaborate closely with other areas of Gartner IT to leverage best practices and shared capabilities, such as our AWS cloud infrastructure and SaaS solutions.

Partner with Gartner Product group to define and execute on a cohesive technology roadmap and lead teams responsible for building workflow solutions.
What you will need:
-
Strong leadership skills in the areas of communication, collaboration, talent development, and stakeholder relationships.
-
12-15 years of experience in software development leading teams of managers, architects, developers, and testers in support of complex business functions.
-
Exceptional people management skills with an emphasis on mentoring.
-
Solid technical hands-on background, preferably in the areas of Java, Databases, NoSQL, JavaScript frameworks, and AWS Services (e.g. EC2, Lambda, SNS, SQS, RDS).

Strong foundation in application architecture and software development.
-
Experience in managing multiple product development teams consisting of sharp engineers.
-
Conduct design and code reviews, ensuring best practices are followed by the team.
-
Clear understanding of DevOps practices.

Significant experience in Agile/Kanban or Scaled Agile Frameworks.
-
Strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral, written and group presentations).
-
Ability to work collaboratively across the IT organization and with business partners to identify systemic operational patterns and innovate on them.
