THE ROLE

We are seeking a talented Director Engineering to lead a feature team responsible for delivering Agentic AI solutions. You will combine technical leadership with people management to drive successful delivery of AI capabilities that empower enterprise workflows and generate measurable business outcomes.
This role requires you to switch hats based on the need of the hour:

The Leader: Build, mentor, and grow a high-performing engineering team. Conduct 1:1s, performance reviews, and career planning while fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.

The Architect: Partner with technical leads to define architecture strategy, coding standards, and scalable AI solutions. Champion multi-agent orchestration and enterprise AI best practices.

The Delivery Owner: Oversee end-to-end delivery of AI solutions, sprint planning, backlog prioritization, and release management across multiple workstreams.

The Innovator: Explore emerging AI technologies, optimize processes, and promote continuous improvement across the team. Working in a startup environment and building a team from scratch is a plus.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead technical delivery of Agentic AI solutions while ensuring alignment with architecture standards and business objectives.
Manage and grow a high-performing engineering team, focusing on mentorship, career growth, and performance management.
Drive Agile delivery practices, sprint planning, and backlog prioritization.
Collaborate with UX, QA, data, and business stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery.
Implement CI/CD, automation, testing, and knowledge-sharing practices to ensure operational excellence.
Communicate delivery status, risks, and dependencies to senior leadership.
Foster experimentation with emerging AI technologies and promote best practices within the team.

QUALIFICATIONS
Experience & Leadership
15+ years of experience in technology, including 10+ years in leadership and senior technical roles.
Proven ability to lead and manage large engineering teams, including managers and individual contributors.
Strong people management skills with experience in recruiting, mentoring, and developing engineering talent.

Technical Expertise
Strong expertise in system architecture and design for complex, large-scale systems.
Experience building 0-to-1 solutions in one or more of the following areas:
Generative AI / Applied Machine Learning
Data Analytics
Platform Engineering
Large-scale backend systems
Deep knowledge of Agentic AI, multi-agent systems, LLM integration, and enterprise AI frameworks.
Hands-on experience with modern development stacks including Python, Java, and Angular.

Delivery & Execution
Proven ability to manage complex Agile backlogs, sprint planning, and delivery timelines.
Strong problem-solving skills with a customer-focused mindset.
Experience delivering enterprise-grade software at scale.

Communication & Collaboration
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
Strong team management and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Additional Qualifications
Familiarity with enterprise platforms such as ServiceNow, Salesforce, Oracle CX, and large-scale software delivery is a plus.
Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
