The Role:
As Director of WorkTech Innovation, you will be responsible for incubating and launching our newest offerings to solve our employer clients' most challenging problems. This will include partnering with Product, Engineering, Corporate Development, Product Marketing, and GTM teams. You will identify the unmet "jobs to be done" of employers to inform both short and long term plans for B2B offerings to address those needs. In this role you will have end-to-end responsibility for strategy through execution of the B2B offering portfolio.

How You Will Make an Impact:

  • You will be an entrepreneur laying the foundation of new business ventures, from inception to pilot, launch and scale. You are the single-theaded owner of our Worktech employer portfolio, and will be singularly focused on getting smart ideas into the hands of our employer clients. You have a curious mindset, thrive in collaborative teams, and are passionate about building. You are a self-starter, terrific leader, detail-oriented and comfortable with ambiguity in a rapidly-changing environment.
    • Product Strategy & Business Owner- Partner with product leaders, marketing teams, client-facing teams and others to identify and execute on opportunities to build DailyPay's employer-facing worktech offerings
    • Portfolio Development: Work with Product and Corporate Development to identify the most promising new opportunities and problem statements to seed incubation efforts. Build a multi-year capability roadmap to support DailyPay's strategic aspirations
    • Customer Discovery and Synthesis: conduct extensive customer discovery, ensuring a deep understanding of pain points, JTBD, needs, and preferences
    • Business Model and Value Proposition Ideation and Iteration: turn analysis and insights into early-stage business models and value propositions and continually refine these through in-market learning and experimentation
    • Own the Outcome: leverage data and insights to drive informed decisions (keeping in mind the highly ambiguous nature of early-stage work), constantly reassessing and iterating on venture concepts
    • Drive the P&L: You will be responsible for managing the nascent P&L of our new offerings, optimizing for top and bottom line business and strategic objectives as the offering scales, in partnership with FP&A


What You Bring to The Team:

  • 7+ years of Startup, BizOps, Product, Product Marketing, Finance or Management Consulting experience
  • 3+ years of operational experience in a high growth environment
  • 0 to 1 Experience: You have taken a product or a business from 0 to 1
  • Experience in B2B GTM motions. HR Tech, SaaS, Payments a bonus
  • Thrive in connecting the dots between disparate information in the face of uncertainty and conflicting information
  • Excel in steering product and/or business model development within the dynamic landscape of early-stage startups (or other similar early-stage environments)

Pay Transparency. DailyPay takes a market-based approach to compensation, which may vary depending on your location. United States locations are categorized into three tiers based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. The salary ranges are listed by geographic tier. Additionally, this role may be eligible for variable incentive compensation and stock options. Where a candidate fits within the compensation range for a role is based on their demonstrated experience, qualifications, skills, and internal equity.
