The Role: The Director, Electric Product Management leads Xylem’s Electric strategy, driving profitable growth and innovation across global product lines. This role owns the full product lifecycle — from roadmap definition to market launch and end-of-life — while ensuring customer-centric solutions and industry leadership. As a highly visible leader, you will represent Xylem’s vision externally, foster a culture of innovation internally, and deliver measurable impact to communities across North America.
Responsibilities:
Strategy & Roadmap
- Define and execute global product strategy and roadmap.
- Lead a high-performing team in developing positioning, value propositions, and launch plans.
- Translate customer insights and market trends into actionable product development priorities.
Growth & Profitability
- Develop pricing strategies and margin targets.
- Partner with sales and marketing to drive adoption and revenue growth.
- Monitor competitive landscape and adjust strategies accordingly.
Lifecycle Management
- Oversee product lifecycle from launch to discontinuation.
- Identify value engineering opportunities and optimize product lines.
- Ensure timely, well-resourced product launches with supporting materials.
Brand & Market Presence
- Represent Xylem at industry events, conferences, and customer engagements.
- Drive thought leadership through white papers, presentations, and internal and external communications.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to build compelling value propositions.
Leadership & Culture
- Inspire and develop a high-performing team
- Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and collaboration.
- Drive industry confidence as a key senior leader of Xylem Electric
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.
- Proven leadership experience in product management, electric utilities or related fields.
- Strong background in pricing, lifecycle management, and competitive analysis.
- Experience with AI-driven integration or digital transformation.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and project management skills.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams across North America; up to 35% travel required.
