Job Description:
The Director of Education, Training and Development provides strategic leadership and oversight for the organization's education and professional development functions, ensuring the effective planning, organization, implementation, and evaluation of training and development programs. This role is responsible for driving operational excellence through effective leadership, workforce development, organizational planning, performance management, and continuous improvement initiatives that support employee growth and organizational objectives.
Job Duties:
- Provide leadership and operational oversight for the department, including strategic decision-making, policy and procedure development, performance management, quality and productivity standards, resource allocation, and ensuring the availability of department equipment and supplies.
- Lead and develop departmental staff through effective communication, recruitment and selection, coaching, motivation, and professional development while fostering collaborative relationships with leadership, physicians, employees, patients, regulatory agencies, vendors, and other key stakeholders.
- Provide leadership and oversight of departmental performance by establishing and monitoring productivity and quality metrics, evaluating results against established standards, implementing corrective actions, and ensuring continuous improvement in departmental operations and outcomes.
- Develop and maintain an effective organizational structure by defining roles and responsibilities, appropriately delegating authority and accountability, and fostering collaborative relationships with leadership, physicians, staff, patients, families, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders to achieve departmental goals.
- Lead the department’s strategic planning process by forecasting future service demands and opportunities, establishing departmental goals and objectives aligned with organizational priorities, and developing and managing budgets to ensure the effective allocation of human, financial, and operational resources necessary to achieve desired outcomes.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor of Science in Education or Health related field is required.
- Five (5) years of job-related experience is required.
- Master’s degree preferred or must obtain within three years.
