ABOUT THE ROLE
Peloton Apparel is seeking a Director of Apparel Ecommerce to join the team. This position will partner closely with the Apparel Marketing, Buying and Planning teams, along with Finance, and Ecommerce Software to develop and execute the Apparel Ecomm strategy and growth plan. This individual will create strong, highly collaborative relationships cross functionally and among the Apparel team. They will serve as the subject matter expert for Ecommerce on the Apparel team and be required to present up to the Apparel leadership team on roadmap decisions, assessment of pain points and opportunities, and weigh the tradeoffs between priorities. This position is responsible for the day-to-day management, coordination, execution and audit of the .com site’s product and marketing initiatives. This involves overseeing the Peloton Apparel online content catalog, monitoring changes made within the digital shopping experience, troubleshooting issues and supporting the company’s overall digital efforts across the website.
This person will have a rich knowledge of the ecommerce landscape, superb analytic skills, digging deep into data to craft critical objectives, strategies and tactics, and turning insight into action to drive results. This candidate will be a collaborative leader who knows how to lead through others and provide insights that drive new ecommerce ideas for the Apparel business.
YOUR DAILY IMPACT AT PELOTON
- Responsible for leading the Apparel Ecommerce team executing thoughtful strategies in collaboration with Apparel as well as the greater brand cross-functional teams.
- Own key drivers behind sales and gross profit margin, including: traffic, average order value and conversion, to ensure the team is on track to meet or exceed the plan and aligned with company objectives.
- Establish a long term ecommerce vision, set goals, and build a roadmap that positions the Apparel and Accessories team to deliver on its goals.
- Be the key stakeholder for the Apparel team as we move under one Ecommerce platform with our other lines of business.
- Partner with merchants, technology teams, and other business stakeholders to ensure that content is properly defined, documented, planned, and executed across all of our channels.
- Lead catalog buildout and product information uploading:
- Update and publish content/images/descriptions for product detail pages, etc.
- Curate all cross-sell feeds.
- Schedule and implement all campaign content changes based on marketing campaigns and ensure evergreen assets are appropriately refreshed.
- Own the solution quality (QA) of content.
- Work to create a consistent customer experience across all conversion touch points.
- Collaborate with key business and technology partners to define and implement process improvements that will save manual work, reduce quality issues, and enhance the customer experience.
- Advise on building tools and tracking implementation to measure the performance of the site and guide actions via A/B tests, new features, and SEO efforts.
- Align all site updates with appropriate SEO and GTM requirements to ensure analytics and data are properly reporting.
- Maintain KPIs and reporting for general site performance and make suggestions for improvement.
- Communicate to executives and other key stakeholders the strategies driving the Apparel site, a vision and roadmap for future growth, and provides ongoing status updates across initiatives.
- Oversee partner relationships with Ecommerce vendors including Yotpo and Curalate.
- Brief in content needs to the Creative team on an as need basis.
- Suggest and implement direct marketing methods to increase profitability.
- Stay up to date with new digital media developments, vendors, and products.
- Work with management and Ecommerce Software to conduct ongoing 360-degree audits of the customer journey, ensuring real-time feedback with consumers as well as improving every touch point, from website to purchase and fulfillment is best-in-class.
YOU BRING TO PELOTON
- 8+ years of product management experience. Experience working on consumer-facing products, DTC e-commerce and apparel experience a plus.
- Shopify and Commerce tools experience.
- Past experience with order management or ERP systems preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience using data to guide decision making and when there’s no data, find alternative sources to gain insights.
- Self-starter and proven track record of taking ownership and successfully delivering results in a fast-paced, high-growth, dynamic environment.
- Self-starter with the ability to act autonomously, anticipate and highlight program and product issues to the team before they happen.
- Strong Excel skills.
- Some knowledge of basic HTML/JSON is a plus.
- Knowledge of GTM and best practices for SEO preferred.
- Collaborate with key business and technology partners to define and implement process improvements that will save manual work, reduce quality issues, and enhance the customer experience.
- Monitor KPIs, create reports, and present site analytics to senior leadership.

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the anticipated salary range for this position based at our New York City headquarters. The actual base salary offered for this position will depend on numerous factors including individual performance, business objectives, and if the location for the job changes. Base Salary Range
$192,200—$249,700 USD
