Join Staples as Director Product Solutions and lead the operations that power our dropship and wholesaler fulfillment network. In this highly visible leadership role, you will strengthen supplier performance, improve service and scalability, and partner across the business to deliver a consistent customer experience while supporting growth.
What you will be doing:
Lead dropship and wholesaler fulfillment operations, ensuring accurate order execution, consistent service, and timely resolution of escalated issues.
Manage vendor compliance and supplier performance programs, including scorecards, service-level agreements, business reviews, and corrective actions.
Develop operating plans and lead cross-functional improvements that increase scalability, productivity, cost effectiveness, and service quality.
Use dashboards, metrics, performance trends, and root-cause analysis to monitor results and present clear recommendations to senior leadership.
Manage budgets, resources, business cases, and the financial impact of operational priorities.
Partner with Merchandising, Supply Chain, Technology, Finance, Customer Service, Legal, Sales, and Inventory Management to advance supplier and fulfillment initiatives.
Lead, coach, and develop managers, supervisors, and professional staff while setting expectations aligned with business objectives.
Drive process redesign, automation opportunities, system enhancements, and supplier governance improvements that strengthen operational performance.
What You Bring to the Table:
Experience leading vendor performance, supplier compliance, fulfillment, or order management processes.
Experience using KPIs, scorecards, dashboards, or reporting to manage operational performance and identify root causes.
Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and presenting recommendations to senior leadership.
Strategic thinking and business acumen, with the ability to translate priorities into practical operating plans.
Executive-level communication skills and the ability to influence across functions and levels.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
A customer-focused, continuous-improvement mindset and the ability to lead through complexity and change.
What’s needed: Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Business, Operations, Logistics, Engineering, Finance, or related work experience.
10+ years of experience in operations, supply chain, fulfillment, vendor management, dropship, wholesaler operations, or related fields.
5+ years of leadership experience managing cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree or MBA.
12+ years of experience in retail, eCommerce, omnichannel, distribution, supply chain, or B2B operations.
Experience managing supplier scorecards, vendor compliance programs, or operational business reviews.
Experience leading process redesign, automation, systems enhancement, or operational transformation initiatives.
Experience with Power BI, Tableau, SQL, SAP, Oracle, Manhattan, or similar enterprise tools.
Lean, Six Sigma, CSCP, CPIM, or PMP certification.
