We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Director, Domain/Solutions Architect to join our Architecture Engineering team. This role is located in New York.
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
- Research and implement architecture designs and patterns to improve the company's advantage in the marketplace.
- ·Collaborate with enterprise business architects, application architects, database architects, and technology architects to deploy technology solutions.
- Strategize and contribute to enterprise-level technological initiatives on architecture and design.
- Define solution architecture for domain-specific initiatives and lead research, definition, and implementation of architecture governance and design disciplines for business solutions.
- Define and promote common architecture designs, methodology, standards, and practices across the enterprise.
- Drive value from the company's data assets by providing enterprise data architecture planning, design, and deployment in business solutions.
- Provide architecture consulting services on complex issues throughout the enterprise.
- · Ensure high-quality delivery of the company's architecture and design services.
- · May have managerial responsibilities including recruiting, directing, motivating, and developing staff to maximize their contribution and professional growth, as well as managing and forecasting operating budgets within approved plans.
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required; advanced degree preferred.
- 12+ years of experience in technology and architecture roles required.
- Experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
- Proven ability to lead and contribute to enterprise-level architecture initiatives.
- People leadership experience, including staff recruitment, development, and team management.
- Business/functional expertise into any of the relevant F&IS areas is a plus (Alternatives, Registered Funds, ETFs, Asset Owners, Investor Solutions).
- Engineering expertise, especially in terms of interfaces (APIs, KAFKA, MQ, Cloud-2-Cloud…), is a plus.
- Hands-on experience using AI tools to construct POC apps, perform analysis, fix vulnerabilities, review/query existing codes… is a plus.
- Experience with graph/flow tools (iGrafx, MS Visio, Miro…) is required.
- Experience with Information Architecture (ODS, data buses) & Canonical Models (*.json payloads) is required.
- Good communication skills are essential (explaining, convincing, driving, support materials, provide context).

Base salary offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Base salary is only part of the total rewards package, which may include eligibility for an annual discretionary incentive award. Subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable plans then in effect, eligible employees may enroll in a 401(k) plan as well as participate in Company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance plans for the employee and the employee’s eligible dependents.
