Global Institutional Banking Coverage (GIBC) leads banking relationship management and the provision of transaction banking, risk management and capital solutions to our clients. The team’s purpose is to deliver integrated, strategic solutions across the financing spectrum to support our clients’ long-term objectives.
 

Our Coverage team manages key relationships with clients across the Diversified Industrials, Agriculture, Real Estate, Healthcare, Utilities and Infrastructure sectors. We provide a full suite of capital and financing solutions tailored to client needs.
 

As a Director within the Diversified Industries team, you will lead coverage of a portfolio of large ASX-listed corporates, alongside private equity, sovereign and infrastructure fund-owned businesses. You will work closely with senior stakeholders internally and externally, driving strategic dialogue and originating opportunities across the full IB&M platform.

In this senior role, you will be accountable for leading client relationships, originating and executing transactions, and driving portfolio performance. You will play a key leadership role within the team and contribute to the broader Coverage strategy.
 

Key elements of the role include:

  • Lead end-to-end origination and execution of complex transactions, coordinating product partners and managing internal approval processes
  • Own and deepen senior client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and delivering tailored financial solutions
  • Drive proactive idea generation and strategic engagement to identify new business opportunities
  • Lead credit structuring, risk assessment and negotiation of financing solutions
  • Oversee portfolio management activities, including client planning, annual reviews and risk monitoring
  • Provide leadership, mentoring and guidance to junior team members, fostering a high-performance culture
  • Act as a key escalation point for complex client and transaction matters

We’re interested in hearing from people who have:

  • Significant experience in corporate/institutional banking, corporate finance, or a related discipline
  • Strong track record in originating and executing complex financing transactions
  • Deep expertise in credit analysis, debt structuring and risk management
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and grow senior client relationships
  • Strong commercial acumen and the ability to identify and deliver strategic opportunities
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at senior levels internally and externally
  • Highly developed communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills
  • Proven leadership capability, with experience mentoring and developing high-performing teams
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
