Job Title: Director, IT Digital Supply Chain

General Summary 

The Director, IT Digital Supply Chain is a senior IT leadership role accountable for delivering business value through technology across key supply chain domains including Logistics, Procurement, Order Management, Contract Manufacturing (“Make vs. Buy”), and New Item Commercialization. 

This role serves as a strategic Digital Partner to senior Supply Chain leadership, shaping demand, defining digital strategies, and delivering modern, scalable technology capabilities aligned to enterprise priorities. 

As a key member of the Supply Chain IT leadership team, this individual is expected to operate with high autonomy, lead complex cross-functional initiatives, and create multi-year digital strategies and roadmaps that drive measurable business outcomes. 

This role also requires strong enterprise thinking, executive presence, and the ability to operate across the end-to-end supply chain value stream.  In addition, the Director may be called upon to act as Supply Chain lead for enterprise-critical, cross-functional initiatives (e.g., ERP transformations, integrations for acquisitions/divestitures, data & analytics platforms), ensuring alignment across business functions, IT platforms, and external partners to deliver enterprise value. 

 What you will do… 

Principal Responsibilities 

1. Business Relationship Management & Strategic Partnership (25%) 

  • Serve as the primary IT Digital Partner to Logistics, Procurement, Commercialization, and Order-to-Cash leadership teams 
  • Shape demand by translating business strategies into technology-enabled capabilities and outcomes 
  • Build strong, trust-based relationships with senior stakeholders; influence priorities, investment decisions, and operating models 
  • Provide thought leadership on digital trends and innovations that enhance supply chain performance 

2. Strategy, Roadmap & Capability Development (20%) 

  • Define and own multi-year digital strategies and roadmaps across Procurement, Order Management, Contract Manufacturing, and Commercialization 
  • Ensure alignment to enterprise IT strategy, architecture standards, and product operating model 
  • Identify opportunities to improve end-to-end processes, enabling greater agility, visibility, and efficiency 
  • Lead capability maturity progression across assigned domains 

3. Portfolio Ownership & Value Delivery (20%) 

  • Own the IT portfolio for assigned domains, including prioritization, investment planning, and value realization 
  • Ensure initiatives are aligned to clear business outcomes, success metrics, and accountability models 
  • Partner with Product Owners and delivery teams to ensure effective execution and adoption 
  • Drive transparency through executive-level reporting on progress, risks, and value delivered 

4. Program Leadership & Execution (15%) 

  • Lead complex, cross-functional initiatives with minimal oversight, ensuring delivery of strategic programs 
  • Own and lead supply chain workstreams for enterprise transformation initiatives, including ERP implementations, mergers/acquisitions, data & analytics requirements and major business integrations 
  • Coordinate across internal IT teams (platforms, data & analytics, architecture, security) and external partners 
  • Proactively manage risks, dependencies, and trade-offs to ensure successful outcomes 
  • Champion agile and product-based delivery practices 

5. Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement (10%) 

  • Ensure reliability, scalability, and performance of critical supply chain applications 
  • Drive process standardization, simplification, and modernization 
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve service quality, efficiency, and cost effectiveness 
  • Prioritize continuous improvement and on-going business requests based on value 

6. Leadership, Talent & Succession Development (10%) 

  • Lead and develop high-performing teams, fostering accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning 
  • Build organizational capability aligned to future supply chain and digital needs 
  • Demonstrate leadership readiness for broader IT organizational responsibility 

Scope of Responsibility 

  • Enterprise-wide accountability for IT capabilities supporting Logistics, Procurement, Order Management, Contract Manufacturing, and Commercialization 
  • Influences senior leadership decisions across IT and Supply Chain 
  • Manages significant portfolio investments, vendor relationships, and strategic initiatives 
  • Leads supply chain IT contributions to enterprise transformation programs (e.g., ERP, acquisitions, major business integrations), often operating across multiple functions and business units 
  • Operates with broad decision rights within assigned domains, balancing business priorities, risk, cost, and long-term architecture 

Knowledge and Skill Requirements 

  • Deep understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes (Plan, Source, Make, Deliver, Commercialize) 
  • Strong Business Relationship Management (BRM) / Digital Partner capability 
  • Proven ability to develop and execute multi-year IT strategies and roadmaps 
  • Experience leading large-scale, cross-functional programs and portfolios 
  • Strong financial, analytical, and decision-making skills 
  • Excellent executive communication and stakeholder engagement skills 
  • Familiarity with modern product operating models and agile delivery approaches 
  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to influence without direct authority 

Who you will work with… 

  • Reporting to the Sr Director IT, Planning, Procurement & Logistics
  • Would manage 3 Direct reports / 7 indirect reports

What you bring to the table… (Must Have) 

Education and Experience 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, Supply Chain, or related field 
  • 10+ years of progressive IT leadership experience, including supply chain technologies 
  • Experience working in or supporting CPG, manufacturing, or complex supply chain environments preferred 
  • Demonstrated experience partnering with senior business leaders and influencing strategy

Working Conditions 

  • Hybrid work environment with periodic travel to Campbell’s sites and partner locations 

Compensation and Benefits:

The target base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between 

$195,400-$268,700

Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
