Job Description

At ADGA, our teams support Government and industry partners on projects that protect critical systems and strengthen operational readiness. We are seeking a Director, Digital Safety to provide technical leadership and expertise on complex, high-impact client engagements.

The Director, Digital Safety is responsible for leading and establishing the organization’s Digital Safety Framework, ensuring digital systems, information assets, and operational technologies operate within defined safety and security requirements. This role provides strategic direction, governance, and oversight of digital safety and cybersecurity programs, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives, regulatory requirements, and nuclear safety principles. The Director collaborates with business leaders, technical teams, and external stakeholders to ensure safe, secure, and compliant digital operations across the enterprise.

This is a proactive recruitment initiative, with potential start dates in the coming weeks or months, contingent on contract award.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Cyber Security, Information Technology, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, ITIL) are considered an asset
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in cybersecurity or information security roles
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in progressive leadership roles
  • Demonstrated experience developing and governing enterprise-wide security or control frameworks
  • Experience implementing industry and regulatory standards (e.g., CSA N290.7, ISO 27001, NIST)
  • Experience in critical infrastructure, nuclear, or regulated environments is considered an asset
  • Experience with operational technology (OT), industrial control systems (ICS), or SCADA environments is preferred
  • Strong strategic thinking and decision-making capabilities in complex and high-risk environments
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Proven ability to influence and collaborate across all levels
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team development abilities
  • Ability to drive organizational change
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, CSA N290.7)
  • Understanding of nuclear safety principles
  • Knowledge of risk-based models and defence-in-depth strategies
  • Familiarity with OT environments and digital control systems
  • Understanding of regulatory compliance requirements

Additional Information

  • Must currently hold or be eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret (Level II) Canadian Federal Government Security clearance and other clearances if or as required. Other clearances can include VCR’s and Controlled Goods clearances.  
  • The posted daily pay rate reflects an incorporated consultant compensation model; consultant rates will be adjusted accordingly. We will consider candidates for either employment or consultant arrangements. Consultants will be required to hold a Controlled Goods clearance and Insurance.
