Overview:
The Director, Digital Product and Design will lead the vision, strategy, and execution of SharkNinja’s digital product and design initiatives, driving innovation across the company’s digital platforms. The Director, Digital Product and Design will be responsible for overseeing the development of customer-centric digital products and ensuring a best-in-class user experience (UX) that supports SharkNinja’s growth and e-commerce objectives. The Director, Digital Product and Design will work closely with cross-functional teams, including technology, UX, marketing, and e-commerce, to deliver digital products that align with the business strategy and create seamless customer experiences.
Reporting to the Vice President of Digital Commerce Operations & UX, the Director will play a key role in elevating SharkNinja’s digital presence by leading digital product development and implementing modern design principles.
Key Responsibilities:
Digital Product Strategy & Development
- Define and execute the digital product strategy in alignment with SharkNinja’s broader digital and e-commerce goals
- Lead the development of digital products, including website features, tools, and enhancements, that improve the customer journey, boost engagement, and drive conversion
- Prioritize product initiatives and create product roadmaps based on business goals, customer insights, and competitive analysis
- Collaborate with technology teams to oversee the entire product lifecycle, from concept through execution, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery
- Establish clear KPIs to measure product performance and leverage data-driven insights to inform product development and iteration
User Experience (UX) & User Interface (UI) Design
- Lead the UX/UI design team in creating intuitive, user-friendly digital experiences across SharkNinja’s web and mobile platforms
- Ensure all digital products adhere to best-in-class UX/UI design principles, focusing on creating seamless, aesthetically pleasing, and efficient user journeys
- Collaborate with the marketing and content teams to ensure consistency in design, brand messaging, and visual identity across digital channels
- Conduct user research, usability testing, and A/B testing to gather insights and continuously optimize design and product features
- Drive innovation by staying updated with the latest UX/UI design trends and technologies to enhance SharkNinja’s competitive edge
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with the digital commerce, IT, marketing, and analytics teams to align digital product development with e-commerce strategies and overall business objectives
- Work with e-commerce and content teams to ensure digital products are optimized for conversion, customer retention, and engagement
- Collaborate with the customer service and operations teams to enhance the post-purchase experience and ensure a seamless integration between product features and backend operations
- Serve as the key liaison between the business and technology teams, facilitating clear communication and alignment on product goals and design execution
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of digital product managers, UX/UI designers, and researchers
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the team
- Provide guidance on product management best practices, agile methodologies, and UX/UI design principles
- Ensure the team remains customer-focused and uses data and insights to drive decision-making and product enhancements
Digital Product Innovation
- Identify and evaluate new technologies, tools, and trends that could enhance SharkNinja’s digital product offering and improve the customer experience
- Lead innovation initiatives by exploring emerging digital platforms, such as voice commerce, AR/VR, and AI-powered personalization, to provide SharkNinja’s customers with cutting-edge digital experiences
- Leverage feedback loops from customer behavior analytics and market research to continuously evolve and enhance the product portfolio
Performance Measurement & Optimization
- Develop frameworks and processes for measuring the success of digital products, focusing on customer engagement, product adoption, and overall impact on the business
- Analyze product performance data and provide actionable insights to improve user experiences, streamline processes, and enhance ROI
- Implement continuous improvement strategies through iterative testing, learning, and optimization
Qualifications:
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Digital Product Management, Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred
- 8+ years of experience in digital product management and design, with a focus on e-commerce, UX, and user interface design
- Proven success in leading the development of customer-centric digital products that drive measurable business results
- Strong experience with digital product lifecycle management and working with cross-functional teams in an agile environment
- Experience with tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, InVision, or similar UX/UI design platforms
- Experience in consumer products or retail industries is preferred
Skills & Competencies
- Strong leadership skills with a track record of mentoring and managing high-performing product and design teams
- Expertise in UX/UI design, including user research, wireframing, prototyping, and usability testing
- Deep understanding of agile product development methodologies and experience working closely with development teams
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to manage stakeholders across multiple business functions
- Strong analytical mindset, with the ability to leverage data to inform product decisions and optimize user experiences
- Innovative, customer-focused, and results-driven, with a passion for delivering best-in-class digital products
Reporting & Collaboration
- Reports to the Vice President of Digital Commerce Operations & UX
- Works closely with cross-functional teams including e-commerce, marketing, IT, and analytics
- Direct management of digital product managers and UX/UI design teams
Location: Needham, MA (Hybrid: 3-4 days per week in office)
