Position Overview:

Develops, executes and evaluates various digital projects that align with overall business objectives and strategies; these projects will consist of a mix of website, SEO, email, user experience strategies & tactics (appropriate based on brand & target audience). Communicates with and recommends new digital initiatives to Marketing management. This is a key position within Marketing, and the ideal candidate will display potential to advance to further levels of accountability (across brands).  Indicators of this potential are the ability to articulate actionable strategies, execute initiatives, and deliver results that enhance Brunswick Boat Group’s leadership within its competitive arena.  The ability to listen and learn, apply empathy in development of insights, and collaboratively drive action will be keys to successful fulfillment of the requirements of this role.

Essential Functions:

  • Partner with brand leadership to develop digital strategy and executional plans in alignment with business and brand goals.
  • Develops and drives execution of digital capabilities roadmap, integrating brand marketing priorities into digital product mgmt.
  • Owns the relationship with the Digital Experience COE, coordinating the product roadmap strategy with the COE, and utilizing the team that reports to them to execute both digital experience (within the framework of that strategy) and digital marketing. 
  • Facilitate and nurture resilient, productive cross-functional relationships with IT, Sales, Category, and other functions to enhance impact of Marketing contributions to delivery of business results.
  • Maintains and increases knowledge of industry standards and best practices to stay ahead of trends and inform business decisions specific to digital marketing, ensuring the business’ online presences are best-in-class.
  • Lead and influence the evolution of digital marketing capabilities for Brunswick, utilizing inspiration, a spirit of collaboration, and subject matter expertise
  • Liaise with Marketing teams across Brunswick Boat Group, Mercury, Navico and dealer base in pursuit of win-win Marketing solutions.
  • Define needs, socialize, and maintain comprehensive editorial & activation calendar for website, sometimes including various digital channels like email outreach efforts based on website engagement needs / learning.
  • Support and implementation of user-centric campaigns – seasonal, topical, or triggered – across online and engagement channels, including insight articulation, audience segmentation and automation, deployment, optimization, and post-campaign assessment.
  • Collaborates with internal stakeholders to establish clarity of purpose for site and develops, orchestrates, and executes upon strategic direction and digital capabilities roadmap.
  • Have a strong understanding of the DTC strategy to identify potential growth opportunities, maximize shared value across the business, and define new opportunities and required functionality.
  • Own digital measurements and analytics for digital marketing. Standardize reporting. Provides actionable insights to broader team to develop strategies/tactics to drive incremental growth (Global reporting)
  • Develops and maintains overall project timelines and associated budgets based on project requests; ensures any risks are evaluated, alleviated and communicated promptly.
  • Analyzes data and develops, presents and/or implements recommendations for continuous improvement in Digital Marketing, communicating recommendations/modifications to Marketing management.
  • Owns alignment / training of global marketing staff across the organization on digital marketing processes.
  • Lead and influence the evolution of digital marketing capabilities for Boat Group and Brunswick, utilizing inspiration, a spirit of collaboration, and subject matter expertise.
  • Manage, coach, and mentor direct report to excellence in execution, improved capabilities, and greater engagement with Marketing and the broader organization.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Digital Marketing, Business, Technology or related field required.
  • 10 or more years professional experience inclusive of 5 or more years in marketing or customer-facing roles. 
  • Three or more years professional experience with direct accountability for digital marketing activities such as website product management or eCommerce. Two or more years of experience managing staff and/or outside resources (agencies, freelancers, consultants).
  • Cross-functional collaboration and ability to motivate performance through influence.
  • Diplomatically assertive, able to persuade while building trust and confidence.
  • Legacy of accomplishment working with people at all levels to deliver business results.
  • Experience leading staff and outside resources (agencies, freelancers, consultants), blending strategic perspective with a focus on implementation excellence.
  • Creative, decisive, collaborative, responsive, able to work independently and take responsibility for decisions and outcomes. Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Collaborator – track record of accomplishment in cross-functional endeavors demonstrating capability to partner and interact/influence all levels of the organization 
  • Champion of change management – demonstrated leadership of both internal and external stakeholders through change and transition by leading through their own behaviors
  • Trustworthy – builds trust through the environment they create with cross-functional teams & stakeholders
  • Strategic mindset – operates with a holistic view of business and enterprise operations, which enables effective decision-making, ability to prioritize work, & proactively address opportunities

 The hiring range for this position is $132,500 - $196,000 annually. The actual base pay offered will vary based on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the specifics of the candidate’s qualifications and the business context.   

In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and an award target as part of Brunswick’s long-term incentive program. This position is eligible to participate in Brunswick's comprehensive and high-quality benefits offerings, including medical, dental, vision, paid vacation, 401k (up to 4% match), Health Savings Account (with company contribution), well-being program, product purchase discounts and much more.
