Position Overview:
Canada Goose is looking for a strategic and collaborative Director, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to join our high-performing Finance team. This role is a direct and embedded partner to the Digital team, playing a critical role in driving insights that shape our global eCommerce, Digital Product, and Consumer Experience strategies.
You’ll lead a team responsible for delivering accurate forecasting, insightful reporting, and disciplined budgeting across revenue and operating costs. This role will champion a culture of continuous improvement, drive business performance through data-driven storytelling, and foster financial acumen across teams.
What You'll Do:Digital & Commercial Partnership
Serve as the strategic finance partner to the Digital leadership team, providing analysis and insights that support eCommerce growth, digital product innovation, and omnichannel performance.
Embed financial thinking in the Digital roadmap by defining KPIs, tracking performance, and evaluating initiatives with pre- and post-launch analysis.
Partner with Marketing to lead the budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring marketing investments are supported by strong business cases and ROI tracking.
Support Sales and Global Functions with planning, forecasting, and scenario modeling to inform decision-making.
Planning, Forecasting & Reporting
Lead global revenue budgeting, forecasting, and weekly projection processes, providing timely and actionable insights to senior leadership.
Oversee planning and forecasting for central SG&A functions, ensuring global alignment and visibility into consolidated spend.
Drive rigorous analysis across revenue, margins, and overheads to highlight opportunities, risks, and performance trends.
Executive & Board Engagement
Contribute to key executive and board-facing deliverables, including business updates, shareholder reports, and strategic reviews.
Collaborate cross-functionally to translate complex data into clear, concise financial narratives for various stakeholder audiences.
Process Improvement & Systems
Identify and implement opportunities to streamline and automate planning and reporting processes, enhancing accuracy and responsiveness.
Work with the broader finance and analytics teams to strengthen models and improve the utility of business intelligence tools.
Team Leadership
Lead and develop a team of 4 direct reports, creating a high-performance, growth-oriented culture.
Prioritize team development through coaching, career pathing, and succession planning.
Recognized accounting designation (CPA, CA, CMA) or MBA preferred.
5+ years of leadership experience in FP&A, ideally within a multinational retail, consumer goods, or manufacturing environment.
Proven success partnering with senior leadership in a fast-paced, digitally focused organization.
Expertise in digital commerce metrics, performance analytics, and customer-centric KPIs is a strong asset.
Strong business partnering skills with the ability to influence decisions and collaborate cross-functionally.
High proficiency in Excel and financial systems; experience with Microsoft D365 or similar ERP platforms is an asset.
Solid understanding of financial modeling, forecasting, and budget management.
Experience with international reporting standards (IFRS) is a plus.
Adaptable, analytical, and hands-on leader who can balance strategy and execution.
Effective communicator, comfortable presenting to executives and facilitating financial conversations across teams.
