Director Development Operations

What does a successful Director Development Operations do at Fiserv? 
A Director Development Operations at Fiserv leads the DevOps team, driving the implementation and continuous improvement of DevOps best practices.
They oversee the design and deployment of processes and tools that enhance the efficiency, reliability, and scalability of our software development and deployment pipelines.

What you will do:

  • Develop and implement a DevOps strategy that aligns with the organization’s goals.
  • Lead and mentor a team of DevOps engineers in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, automation scripts, and infrastructure as code
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software development, operations, and QA, to streamline the software delivery process
  • Establish and track metrics and KPIs to measure the performance and effectiveness of DevOps initiatives
  • Drive the adoption of DevOps best practices, including continuous integration, continuous deployment, monitoring, and infrastructure automation
  • Manage the DevOps budget, resources, and timelines to ensure successful project delivery and adherence to security and governance standards

What you will need to have:

  • 8+ years of experience in DevOps, software development, or infrastructure management, including 3+ years in a leadership role
  • 5+ years of direct experience with CI/CD tools, automation frameworks, containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Extensive knowledge of DevOps principles, Agile methodologies, and ITIL frameworks acquired over 5+ years of application
  • Demonstrated success in driving organizational change and transformation through DevOps practices in enterprise-scale environments
  • Proven leadership, communication, and people skills with strong problem solving and decision-making abilities
  • Current Fiserv systems experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education, work, and/or military experience

  • Master’s Degree
