About the role:
Takeda is seeking a passionate and strategic leader for the role of Director, Dermatology HCP Marketing. This position is integral to the successful launch and growth of a new product within the Dermatology Franchise. You will champion Takeda's culture, values, and mission by leading the strategic development and tactical execution of the Healthcare Professional (HCP) personal promotion plan for a new launch brand, driving customer engagement and brand growth across both personal and non-personal channels.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with sales leadership, cross-functional teams, and external partners to deliver effective, timely promotional campaigns, using digital, data-driven approaches to ensure an integrated omni-channel execution. This role requires strong leadership, deep understanding of the dermatology market, and the ability to drive high-impact promotional strategies to optimize the launch brand performance.

- Strategic Brand Leadership:
- Lead and execute the development of the HCP customer promotional strategy for launching a brand, ensuring it aligns with the broader launch brand objectives and Dermatology Franchise goals.
- Oversee the brand planning process, from situational analysis through executive leadership review, ensuring effective and timely development of strategies that enable the brand's launch and growth.
- Evolve and refine branded communications across both personal and non-personal promotional channels, ensuring consistency in messaging.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Partner with field sales, consumer marketing, and medical to ensure integrated, customer-specific, and strategically aligned plans that drive performance.
- Collaborate with external agencies to create compelling promotional tactics, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines and alignment with brand objectives.
- Omni-Channel Promotion & Digital Integration:
- Lead the execution of integrated HCP promotion strategies that leverage digital platforms, data analytics, and technology to reach diverse stakeholders across both personal and non-personal channels.
- Tactical Planning & Execution:
- Develop and implement targeted, segment-specific promotional programs that effectively engage HCPs and contribute to brand growth.
- Oversee the development and production of promotional materials, ensuring they are scientifically accurate, compliant, and aligned with the overall brand strategy.
- Develop robust assessments for promotional projects and tactics, measuring effectiveness using research, analytics, and return on investment (ROI) evaluations.
- Ensure lessons learned from project evaluations are incorporated into future campaigns to drive continuous improvement.
- Business & Financial Acumen:
- Budget management, ensuring cost-effective resource allocation and tracking ROI.
- Collaborate with Commercial Analytics and Insights to construct and update the yearly research and work plan, identifying key insights that drive strategy.
- Market & Competitive Insights:
- Stay current on customer, competitive, and marketplace activities to provide strategic insights and actionable recommendations for brand plans.
- Use data-driven insights to inform decision-making, optimize strategies, and ensure successful tactical execution.
- Compliance & Regulatory Expertise:
- Ensure all promotional activities adhere to applicable healthcare laws, industry practices, and company ethics & compliance policies.
- Actively monitor industry regulations and guidelines, ensuring the promotional materials and campaigns remain compliant.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
Required :
- Bachelor's degree
- 10+ years of marketing, sales or related function experience in the pharmaceutical industry with previous experience in leadership level positions with increasing responsibilities
- Demonstrated experience in managing HCP promotional campaigns, including both personal and non-personal channels.
- Proven track record in driving omni-channel marketing strategies and leveraging digital technologies in promotional campaigns.
- Ability to translate complex scientific data into compelling, customer-focused messaging for HCPs.
- Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to establish credibility and influence diverse stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a team, positively influence co-workers toward common goals, foster collaboration and enable teamwork. Ability to set priorities and demonstrate leaderships traits.
- Experience in developing marketing strategy and tactic design with an ability to effectively communicate ideas to internal partners and external agencies.
- Ability to understand and effectively and compliantly communicate scientific / medical concepts of drug products to key external audiences
- Capable of leveraging data and analytics to distill insights and drive data-based decision making. Strong financial acumen with experience in managing large budgets.
- Demonstrated ability to translate strategy into action; excellent analytical skills and an ability to communicate complex issues in a simple way and to orchestrate plans to resolve issues and mitigate risks.
- Must thrive working in a fast-paced, multi-cultural, quickly-changing environment while remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient.
- Project management skills - prioritization, workflow process, communication

- Commercial pharma experience in Psoriasis, including an in-depth understanding of the disease state, treatment paradigms, and future trends
- Experience and demonstrated success in leading new product launches.

U.S. Base Salary Range:
$174,500.00 - $274,230.00
The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.
U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/ or long-term incentives. U.S. based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others. U.S. based employees are also eligible to receive, per calendar year, up to 80 hours of sick time, and new hires are eligible to accrue up to 120 hours of paid vacation.
