The Opportunity
UpEquity is seeking a strategic and data-driven Director, Demand Generation to join our growing team. You will lead top of funnel initiatives and work with Sales, RevOps, and Data stakeholders to optimize conversion.
This is a highly visible role, ideal for someone who enjoys problem solving, testing copy and sequencing, and works well across disciplines.
Key responsibilities include:
- Strategize, plan, and manage the day-to-day content of all email and SMS marketing initiatives that contribute to overall communications goals and drive engagement and conversion
- Build and execute email campaigns, including list building, and A/B testing
- Own the full-funnel demand gen engine: digital, email, ABM, events, and campaigns
- Design and drive campaigns to increase engagement and activation with our partners leading to improved conversion
- Design and execute lead outreach initiatives, and test against incumbent outgoing strategies
- Develop and execute ABM playbooks
- Continuously drive conversion improvement by developing new hypotheses and testing against them
- Develop and own KPIs and benchmarks, spec clearly laid out dashboards to track success
- Generate buy-in from key stakeholders and members of the executive team for campaigns and initiatives
Who You Are
- 6-8 years of progressive demand generation experience, ideally in financial services
- Proven track record owning top of funnel and executing integrated campaigns that convert
- Hands-on experience managing content-driven lead generation campaigns
- Analytical thinker with strong funnel intuition—you can model impact and optimize to the number
- Comfortable in startup environments: you’re resourceful, move fast, stay flexible, and thrive in ambiguity
- Excellent collaborator across Sales, Data, and RevOps
- Comfortable with CRM (HubSpot), marketing automation, analytics dashboards, paid media platforms, and web tools—plus whatever’s new and useful.
- A power user of AI tools in your workflow—but you value clarity, insight, and story over sheer volume.
- Mortgage, fintech and/or Proptech experience preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities and projects, perform duties under time pressures, prioritize workflow and follow up, meet deadlines.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
